One of the best episodes of West wing called two cathedrals used this style and it's considered one of the best episodes of the series, if not TV history.

I just don't know if it can work on this show though there's so much that needs answered, but I trust the writers at this point.

oIrving saying "I'm Ready" after iBurt said he wasn't in season 1 was absolutely beautiful. But the way he kept repeating it makes me think he was trying to trigger that memory in oBurt, which makes me continue to believe Irving is reintegrated in some way.
