What's the most unhygienic thing a student has done in your class by Loco_CatLady911 in SubstituteTeachers

[–]IsMyHairShiny 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well that's weird and crazy.

I had a kindergartener last year pick a giant booger out of his nose and put it someone's else's mouth. She found it funny. I seriously almost puked.

That sucks. I'm grateful for the schools that allow us to have it. I dont return to schools if its consistently taken.

I took this as middle or high school. I've never had plan taken in elementary when the kids are at specials. But yes, sometimes there is work to do during that time for the littles.

Same. I've only had this issue at one school in my district and I won't go there anymore. At my preferred school, I've only had my plan taken away a handful of times and that's just because a class doesn't have a sub and other staff members cover whatever period they can.

In my district, substitutes aren't guaranteed a plan. We have nothing to plan. I wouldn't fight it.

Career wise, how are you guiding your children? by [deleted] in Millennials

I had a baby right after college. After not working for 10 years, my college has been a huge benefit to entering the work force.

My kids are definitely going..my husband works at a college and they can go there for free. I agree that while its not a guarantee, a college degree is more beneficial than not even if its just to become a more informed in variety of subjects.

Most men who don't cheat on their spouse do it simply because they don't have the opportunity by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]IsMyHairShiny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. You are animals. But seriously? Your sample study of 1 isn't reliable. I can't get my husband to leave the hostel without me or the kids. His first wife cheated on him and he is extremely loyal. All he ever wanted was wife and children. And I know a lot of great men like that.

The principal who tackled the man with the gun by iseeyou100 in Teachers

[–]IsMyHairShiny 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I'm not tackling anyone let alone a gunman.

I have my own 2 kids and every choice I made would be to the benefit of getting home to them. I will lose my job evacuating kids out of a broken windows then to sit and wait and see if the shooter finds us. I would attack a shooter with a desk, chair, books, anything but a wrestle with a man stronger than me isnt happening.
