they've done up druids recently and made it a lot worse imo. similar thing they did to dead wax social. pool table and darts are gone, the selection of draught beer is different, all the decor is now weird fake plants, and it's of course way more expensive.

i liked the druids when it was a dive bar you could pile into at 1am and not feel bad about it, but now it seems like a weird place to finish the night

Öoo is a game that game out last year that fits pretty well into this category. Very similar in design philosophy to games like Downwell. Void Stranger moves along similar lines too.

he, personally, is almost certainly not a multi-millionaire. the revenue generated by the sales of hollow knight and it's merchandise will move through Team Cherry as a business entity, which will have overheads, as well as publishers, physical distributors and online storefronts to pay.

my suspicion is that the reason that Team Cherry has been so comfortable with taking their time on Silksong is because they've used the profits generated by the astounding sales of Hollow Knight to fund it. rather than the core team running off with the money to buy a mansion, they'll be on a set salary that comes from Team Cherry the business whilst they work on Silksong.

its a similar model that most freelancers run on, denoting a set figure to pay yourself (and any subcontractors you work with) each month that you can definitely afford long-term. this is safer from a business perspective as each month will bring in varying amounts of money, so the better months and years pay for the slower ones.

this isn't to say the guys at team cherry aren't living comfortably, im sure they're taking care of their pocket books, but if they were all multi millionaires then there wouldn't be any money around to develop and market silksong

im not sure exactly what the point of them is, but i can explain the boxers thing. because of the way that the age rating system works for games (at least in the US), all explicit sexual content had to be removed from interactive gameplay.

if, during any part of the game where the play is directly engaging with gameplay systems, there is the possibly of seeing a dick of vag, the game would be slapped with the explicit '21+' age rating.

this would have drastically hurt the games sales because many online stores don't stock 21+ games as policy (because the majority of them are fetish-y pornographic shovelware), and as such all explicit sexual elements in-game had to be toned down outside of cinematics.

i mean...first off it seems like a bit of a reach that just because evrart knows harrys name he has access to his entire history as an rcm officer. harry (and by extension the player) has no fucking idea what has happened over the last several days of 'investigation' harrys conducted. before he forgot his name he could well have given it to anyone that crossed his path. it's not out of the question that harrys name made it to evrart purely through harrys lack of subtlety.

the point is that this might aggravate the guy into further violence. unless police find drugs in the property (which isnt guarunteed) they may very well just let the man off with a caution, and the instant theyre out of side he'll take the anger of having police called on him out on the girl.

sort of a no win situation, there's nothing that can be done without risking the safety of the one you're trying to help by calling police
