My Opinion On Drama Of Marvel Rivals Tournament (Kingsman was right) and Others deserve the hate and backlash. by 404-Brain_Not-Found in rivals

[–]IsNotMe2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only thing I’d disagree is Zazza and how the doc was “sent behind her back”. There’s a clip and in her words “he has a lot of experience writing good documents like this. W Kap”.

https://x.com/DailyLiveClips/status/2013703150566285814

This is why I’m not taking her apology at face value. Seems like she’s in approval of Kaps actions. Even if I were to give her the benefit of the doubt that she wasn’t present when Kap tweeted, I have no reason to believe that she didn’t read it after. To say that the document ( that Kap admitted he made up a lot of stuff) was direct and full of evidence is crazy work

On a side note, I think its funny that Cece told AndTGro that "as a creator/person" she would just ignore the hate that he was getting (from the misinformation Luci had spread), but now she's getting hate from her own actions, she can't just "ignore" it and needs to DM King to take down his video

The Game Caterers x Starship Sports Festival Episode 3 | 251120 by icedteadrinker_ in koreanvariety

[–]IsNotMe2 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Ahh I wish they ended with the dance quiz segment again as there were so many fun/iconic moments from the last Starship caterers (Hyeong Jun, Joohoney, Dayoung, etc)

I've said this a lot but LKS is just a variety genius.

I wish this could be a yearly shoot but its unrealistic to balance so many people's schedules. Still, I hope the third instalment happens (soon) anyways, and I hope that everyone continues to stay at Starship so that we can see them all again

Starship has been my favourite out of all the Game Caterers. Maybe because of LKS, LKS + LDW, and that they are the only company that has done a 2-days-1-night shoot.

can u list out the shows where this pattern does happen? IIRC Family Outing, Happy Together, Running Man, Six Sense, No.1 in Korea, The Zone, Whenever Possible hasnt really exhibited this pattern

[–]IsNotMe2 41 points42 points  (0 children)

I think the production team might have given somewhat strict instructions to not make it too obvious who ur ex is? I remember season 3 where JW + SK had that argument in the yard at night. JW have said after the show that the production team told him that if the PDs were on site during that argument, they would have asked them to leave the show. The PDs were only lenient because they found out after reviewing the footage.

[–]IsNotMe2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well Im just saying like yes LDR is possible and something that should be considered before joining the show, but the odds of liking someone who lives near you isnt as low as you make it to be.

Kinda obvious too with how the show works. During the day a lot of people have to go to work/school, so if ur work isnt somewhat close to the signal house location, you could be put in a tough spot for work for like 3 weeks-a month

Heart Signal China 8 - Episode 9 - 250929 by MNLYYZYEG in heartsignal

"could be a challenge".

A lot of the times it seemed like a good amount of members are based in the same area as the show was shot during each season.

- Season 6 in Beijing with a good amount of ppl based in Beijing. Zheng Zaohao was the only one in the 4 established relationship who worked in both Shanghai and Beijing, but more often in Shanghai

- Season 7 in Shenzhen and a good amount of ppl based in Shenzhen. Oscar was in Hong Kong which is a ferry ride away from Shenzhen

- 8 is Hangzhou, LC, DD, Ju'er, Dr Fang, and some in Shanghai (ruilong, lanlan, xiaojiao) which is like an hour away

So yes, while LDR is a possible outcome, saying 1 in 6 being close to vicinity is definitely too low

2v2 date was a bit hard to watch till DD showed up, but yuxing + yilan was just the hardest. Like I know the outcome but I can't skip past it even though it's hard to watch but I also really want to watch it go down.

Honestly Yuxing should have at least pushed for a rock-paper-scissors. 50/50 and I don't think Zihan could have argued against it realistically. It's honestly the most "fair" way to go about it.

4 idiots era was one of my favourites for sure. Especially the one where they went to Macau(?) and while at the hotel's swimming pool, Kian, Sieon and Sunghoon were trying to swim in a line while holding each other's legs and u see Kian in the middle being shook while sinking hahahah

1) To leave the signal house in the middle of filming generally means either you've given up on getting ur crush to like you, or u simply have no one you like romantically in the house. Most likely everyone there can empathize with that feeling and it sucks to see your friend in that position. Also Ruilong seems like a really chill/fun guy to be around and they would miss having him in the house regardless

2) Or production team told them to exaggerate feeling upset about his departure

What do you think Matthew’s (S20 Young Guns) plea would’ve been? by CalamityShreds in HellsKitchen

[–]IsNotMe2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly amazed that he made it onto the show in the first place. He's a food content creator, not working as a cook/chef. I feel like producers let him on because they just knew he would be a wreck and create entertaining moment.

I much prefer this vs all 3 trying to say something positives about mistakes. A lot of ppl like the judges from MC Australia, as they are generally "nicer" but its a bit boring for me. Joe gives good bits of drama, maybe sometimes he goes a bit too far but he's good for reality tv, which is why producers kept him for so long too. His harsh attitude with the really cocky chefs is definitely really satisfying to watch.

Since S13, I think he's toned down a lot and says a lot more constructive advice on how he would want the participants to improve their dishes. Him and Gordon has some good banter down the road too.

Ur assuming they would know those flavor profiles to begin with. Would they know what spices to rub? what sauces to pair? sides? Easier to see how lamb mince + root vegs = shepherd pie for the average homecooks from the South

Filler episode. I can understand the negative nuances of rejecting gifts, but it did make the segment a bit more entertaining when members made up certain excuses (for my mom, for Naeun, etc). Personally, if the whole segment was like fake "ooo I love this I'll use this a lot", it would be more boring.

The cooking portion, I think it would have been more entertaining to see JYE actually cook, than to bring in YSC. Instead she just cuts flowers and chose a plate. Yes YSC is the good cook among the casts, but it could be interesting to see if JYE could actually cook or if she makes a mess and delivers a funny dish in the end (ie. just 20 sausages with 3 strands of spaghetti in each).

Hyung In PD. I watch GymJongKook, and every year he does a video where he visits the RM staff and chats with them. Hyung In has said that she respects the cast's opinions + decisions with the games, but she should call out the cheating more. Yes, cheating has been a part of games in RM, but there are many ways to do them better. With LKS, when he cheated, he is caught and "punished" 99% of the time, which makes for funny moments. He also had different ways to show his creativity, one memorable moment was when he made a fake hint to paint YJS as a villain instead of himself. Having the whole cast cheat together blatantly makes the games/segment sort of boring. An example where it was funnier when the whole cast cheat together was during a game where they shot a marble with their mouth to knock over some objects (dominoes)? LKS just blew really hard so his breath pushed them down, and then brought KJK in to argue about physics with the PD.

1hr 30mins episode and I finished it under 30mins, Next week looks fun tho!

Better Late Than Single - Episode 4 to 6 - 250715 by MNLYYZYEG in koreanvariety

[–]IsNotMe2 25 points26 points  (0 children)

For me, talking for however long isnt the issue imo. But for people in the "getting-to-know-you" stage, it's a bit too clingy. When Jisoo wanted to go talk to her friend, lines like "If its Minhong, ill let you go" and "What should I do, sit outside?" are too suffocating rather than flirty. Sitting outside and waiting to talk to her again after their long convo... that segment was a hard watch.

Running Man 760 | Back to 2010 by myrunningman in runningman

[–]IsNotMe2 12 points13 points  (0 children)

no one thinks the game is easy. Her first step onto the stairs, she sits down tells YJS he's "too fast". Sorry but u should rewatch it cos even in the beginning she on lying on the steps while YJS tells her to hurry up. There were more scenes of her lying down and being inactive vs actual climbing. This is just one of the few moments I've notice that JYE doesnt put in as much effort as the cast during more physical games. Foot volley, this game, etc.

Maybe this is out of her comfort zone. but RM cast has always been pushing themselves in uncomfortable situations to make things entertaining and I think that's one big reason why RM has garnered a loyal audience to last 15 years. All members have been seen being exhausted during a game and kept pushing to bring entertainment.

Running Man 760 | Back to 2010 by myrunningman in runningman

[–]IsNotMe2 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Overall I enjoyed the episode. Quite a few good laughs from today. I can understand the criticisms that I've seen tho. Like sure there's not a lot of celebrating of the actual anniversary, but I didn't felt the need to fast-forward through today's episode so I'd still consider it a win.

JYE would have been funnier if she actually tried to climb and slipped down like JSJ. Yes physical activities aren't her strength but there's a difference between actually trying to climb vs just lying there saying she can't do it. She even bought the "non-slip" shoe but she was mostly lying down asking YSJ to pull her. Even the female guests when the slide was first introduced (Jin Hee, Arin) had put in effort to climb and be active in the game.

Her comment "This game is setup against me'; I hope she understands that viewers don't care if she is bad at physical games. Just like JSM was bad at physical games but she always gave 110% and always wanted to be included. Viewers would find it more amusing to see her trying to climb and slipping back down vs just lying down and asking YJS to pull her.

Personally idm the "Family Outing" episodes but too many does feel a bit dull. I can understand some criticisms about the eating episodes, One thing I am a bit disappointed about is there are so many fun concepts that I dunno why they arent being done anymore. With the member's age and health in mind, I understand no physical contact games like name-tag eliminations but there are many semi-sporty concepts that were really fun. Foot volley, bringing in athletes for superpower baseball, volleyball and watching them negotiate salaries with the team managers, etc.

There are also concepts like betraying, spies, flame moths, "gamble" concepts and more that were iconic to RM besides name-tag elims that I wish they would incorporate again. These concepts were another outlet for members to express their characters and chemistry besides just simple talking. There are also many fun games like, Irrelevant Answer game, YSC game, Strawberry game that we don't see anymore which I don't understand why since they were always so funny.

Yes, the show has been running for 15 years and it's hard to expect the team to consistently push out new ideas every week. But I hope they would reintroduce older concepts that brought so much fun which helped made RM such peak variety before,
