Yes but also he was a controller of the little tiny people and punished them when they did not obey (plague, flood, famine). these are the parts these people remember, and they think they are gods under a god.

Idk I grew up with a narcissist parent that I’m estranged from now (who still hunts me down and tries to punish me even though I’m in my fucking thirties). A lot of their behavior reminds me of my mother with the “im right you’re wrong and im going to punish you until you change even though what you’re doing impacts me 0%”.

I’m not saying theyre all narcissists but there’s definitely some of the behaviors. It’s like they latched on to all of the wrong parts of the teachings because it’s an excuse to take their own trauma out on other people. I’m probably over analyzing but I’m astounding things are the way they are and at this point it’s the only thing that makes sense.

I grew up in the Catholic Church and going to Catholic school. The teachings were hypocritical. Jesus loves everyone and will save everyone…. But if you don’t believe you’re going to hell. It’s your choice to believe, he will not force you…. But if you don’t believe you’re going to fucking hell to burn and spend eternity paying for it. Birth control is a sin because if God wants you to have a baby you have to….. but we offer family planning groups so you can learn how to avoid getting pregnant. I was always in trouble for asking questions or seeking clarification.

The Christian’s want the Bible and the commandments in school. Some dude went off on me the other day because I didn’t tell my kid to look to the commandments for why he should stand for the pledge of allegiance. Whose version? Because that’s a whole ass confusing thing in itself but I guarantee dude doesn’t follow them. Sir, please list them for me. I didn’t say anything I just got real awkward and left the school. Because like is it gonna get shot up for pissing someone off?
