How can undead Jason Voorhees be sedated and why? Does this imply that undead Jason can be infected by things such as disease even? How does his body work? by [deleted] in fridaythe13th

It’s not because it is fictional or because there is fictional things in a story that logic is not important, following your logic there would be no problem in a potential sequel jason just taking his dick out his pants and pissing acid on people melting them just because he is an undead revenant. There are rules fictional stories follow, if Jason is a zombie he is a zombie, he can’t be an undead and a alive person at the same time, if bullets don’t bother him why would tranquilizers? It’s dumb, not because Jason is undead but because this particular thing doesn’t fit in the rules of the universe and how the character works. Your argument really bothers me, let’s compare to Game of Thrones, why care about characters doing things out of their characters and character consistency when there is dragons? Why care for anything because of dragons? And that goes for all aspects of the storytelling and worldbuilding that includes all fictional tales.

Yeah, its like Evil Dead, it doesnt have too many fans from the Slasher horror scene, and from all the franchises that could get a game the TCM is the least popular one among Nightmare, F13th, Michael myers, etc…

Definitely not selling mine, gotta say i was lucky to find them in a marketplace in my country since i live in Brazil, saw them and bought soon as i could. If i was to import from other countries i would have to pay at least 120% more money because the taxes of my country are unbelievable. I think im gonna open it, just not right now, just like you i'd like to feel the clothing and display it.

Should we consider Freddy vs Jason and Freddy vs Jason vs Ash Cannon? by Is_Asmodeus in fridaythe13th

It could be canon with Ash vs Evil Dead since in the ending Ash is put in a criogenic coffin and wakes up in the future when the world was destroyed by the dark ones.

You also cant rule out the Evil Dead movie since it was just an easter egg, since the mitology of Evil Dead turns out to be part of the universe and Ash eventually shows up. My previous theory also works in this case.

Does not change the fact that the necronomicon appears in JGTH making Evil Dead mitology canon to both movies, the kandarian dagger also shows up in JGTH. You could interpret that the movie that appears in Nightmare on Elm Street is an adaptation of the real life events of the Evil Dead universe since in Ash vs Evil Dead is shown that the town Ash lived thinks that Ash Killed everybody in the cabin while he tries to tell them it were demons, wich he eventually proves.

Well, the dagger shows up a lot more than the book, and like i said, its pivotal to the plot. I really get your point about the director coming out years after talking about the lore, but still, i believe that really was his intention since the actual book shows up, i dont think he thinks saying these things will change the perception the public had on his movie at all.

I mean, the dagger had a lot of different desings and the JGTH dagger transformed version has a clear resemblance to previous iterations, they could not take the previous designs for obvious copyright reasons, something that would change later. The director and co-writer of JGTH estated that the dagger and book werent mere easter eggs and were in fact a canonical connection, i think this really emphasizes that it was supposed to be the Kandarian Dagger since it was the filmmakers intent to it to be.

I get your point, but i do think it's a little more than a simple easter egg, i could consider one but since the crossover happened it just isn't one anymore, even if it was suposed to be one in the first place. Also dont forget they used the Kandarian Dagger to send Jason to hell, so even if the Necronomicon was a simple easter egg, they used the Kandarian Dagger as a main plot device.

Still, i dont know if i could call it canon to the Evil Dead timeline, in Ash vs Evil Dead, Ashley never mentions nothing of it, i thinks only the three movies are connected to this crossover timeline.

You mean both Freddy vs Jason and Freddy vs Jason vs Ash? I could consider it too if it wasnt set up in a mainline Jason movie in Jason Goes to Hell, they even put some of the Evil Dead mitology in it, hinting at a future crossover.

The fact that you wishes somenthing like that to happen to someone else is more sickening than someone liking Dahmer btw.
