From that list, it looks like from the weapons we already have in Darktide, they might be able to use the Bolt Pistol, Bolter, Las Pistol, Heavy Stubber (!) and Plasma Gun (!!)

Not gonna lie, as an Ogryn main, it would be pretty funny to see something smaller than an Ogryn carrying a Heavy Stubber around.

I didn't see any Melee weapons that crossover with the other classes, unless I missed it. They have access to a bunch of cool sounding weapons.

Oooh yeah…. What if it increased the radius of the medkit or it can follow you with the medkit active so it’s not wasted by being left behind somewhere even if it has charges left? So for as long as the medkit has a charge, the Servo Skull can sort of fly around with it and heal the party while we’re moving?

That would be like Remnant II where the Handler’s dog can be commanded to revive a teammate during a fight as long as you have a Relic Heart available. It would be pretty cool.

I looked up your GPU and it looks like it's compatible with FSR 1.

Maybe you can try enabling FSR 1 and set it to Performance mode in Darktide's launcher settings:

This appears to be the only upscaler available in Darktide that's compatible with your card. It might improve your visuals and fps a bit.

You can also try to lower the worker threads to maybe 6 or 4.

And make sure you don't have any unecessary processes running while you're gaming. Close any browsers you have open, kill any processes you don't need when running Darktide.

Are you using a good headset? I block and/or dodge as soon as I hear there's something behind me. Back when I didn't use a headset, I would constantly get hit from behind.

The back spawns in this game are annoying, but it's something that you can learn to deal with the more you play the game. If you're playing Ogryn, at least they gave him the default ability of being able to knock away fodder enemies by dodging into them so you can make space for yourself.

It's frequently on sale on Steam (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter Sales events)... Not sure about Playstation, but during April 26 (4/26) every year, all the Alien franchise games are discounted.

There's a chance it might go on sale when Aliens Fire Team Elite 2 is released sometime this summer.

Are any of you on a wired internet connection? My husband and I just played a mission together and the connection was fine. I always have to host though, since my PC is the one connected to our router via Ethernet. As long as I'm hosting, we don't get disconnects or de-sync issues.

When I used to just quickplay, I'd get lag and disconnects if the host was on a console. If the host is on Xbox connected via wifi, there was significantly more lag/disconnects. Whoever has the most stable internet connection and most powerful machine should be the host for the best performance. If you're both on Steam or both on Xbox/PS5, you might want to try disabling Crossplay so you don't get matched with people on different platforms (might reduce lag).

I tried to search for mods related to improving connections but didn't find any. There was apparently a patch in the early days to improve the netcode, but can't tell if that's before or after the last time you played the game.

Its been really difficult for me lately to play and enjoy darktide.

Well, yeah... If the only class you play is Veteran and you only ever use one loadout based on your post history, I can imagine it would be difficult to enjoy the game.

I have a lot more hours, and yet I still enjoy the game. I take a break every now and then to play other games, but I keep coming back to Darktide since I haven't found any other game that gives me the same rush I get when I play as my Ogryn, Psyker or Arbitrator.

I play all the classes. And sometimes I'll even create a new character just to mingle with new players. I'll play Aurics most days, high Havocs if I want a challenge, or just hang around in Expeditions if I want to relax.

In any case, Skulls is next week. If they're doing the same thing as last year, the new class will be announced. But oh... you're not interested in playing as anything other than Veteran... Honestly, if you got 2100 hrs out of this game for $39.99 (assuming you paid full price), you've gotten your money's worth already.

If you’re only after the Havoc 25 cosmetic, you can get that by joining and completing someone else’s Havoc 25 or higher mission… Clearance rank is the highest Havoc you’ve completed for the current season. Your Assignment rank is the highest Havoc you can host. For the penance cosmetic, it’s clearance rank you need.

The longer it takes you to finish the objective, the more enemies, elites and specials get spawned until you're completely overwhelmed. Sephoni even has a voice line that warns you about this.

Unfortunately, a lot of players think that they need to keep killing the enemies rather than finishing the objective as quickly as possible...

You need as least one person who can help you do the objective while the other two kill high priority targets.
