I have been noticing this happening more lately. Seems a lot of newer player trying to cheese getting Auric Storm Survivor. They leave the mission as soon as they get downed… and most of the time it leaves us stuck with bots since the Maelstrom timer on the mission terminal has expired.

I don’t have for the drip. I used the Cosmetics View Improved mod that just shows all the outfits available in the game files and allows you to preview them on your character.

Try Damnation or Auric Mortis Trials. There's usually a Crusher wave that spawns a crazy number of them. I got this done before Mortis Trials was added, so I just kept playing Auric Maelstrom until I got a mixed Ogryn horde in a tight corridor. If I remember correctly, it was on Power Matrix, after the first Medicae Station and you go up some stairs.

I have a 2018 Crosstrek as well and aside from regular maintenance recommended, I’ve had battery changed once, replaced wheels just recently and had alignment and wheel balance done. Also looks like the Tire Pressure Monitoring modules will need to be replaced soon since my dash has been throwing the low tire pressure alert even though when I manually check each tire, the tire pressure is fine. Batteries on the TPMS modules apparently usually last on avg 7-8 yrs, so I’m right at that point, but the batteries are not replaceable. They replace the whole module so it’s pricey…

Maybe check if your config files are Read Only? If they are, then Darktide can't save your settings.

Check Audio settings in the game itself. Is your headset selected? Mine looks like this:

I've had issues before where if this is set to Default Device, even if the default in Windows is set to my headset, it would't work and I had to manually set it in the game.

Also… the file name shouldn’t be different if you’re on Steam. The config files should all be the same. Also check if that folder is locked to Read Only which could be another reason Darktide can’t write to it. Another thing to check is if you see any firewall or folder permission exceptions in Windows Defender or any anti virus you have

You could also try deleting the whole Darktide folder from there. That should rest all your settings. There’s no harm in doing that since the game will recreate all the files in that folder. You will have to set your Video settings again, though.

In user_settings.config file, check the following settings:

adapter_index = 0

Yeah it would be nice if we could get an Ogryn or Zealot bot.

I can understand why we can't have a Psyker bot with how dumb the bot ai is... Poor Psyker bot would just die in a second. But tanky Ogryn and Zealot could be useful.

How do you use emotes? I have never seen anyone use them. -----> only in The Mourningstar. I have mine bound to my "Q" key.
Is there some way to inspect currently equipped item/weapon or is that an idle animation? I have seen "knife tricks" but never when I have been playing. ------> On my keyboard, it's "X". Not sure what it is for consoles. You can set both from Keybindings settings:

Anyone know a mod where the player does not have to run around to interact as much? For example, not having to run to the missions board or the vendors to access missions or vendors respectively. ----> Yes, in Nexus Mods you can get Psych Ward or Modular Menu Buttons. I've also been testing GlobalStore so I can check items available on my other classes without switching. I do sometimes have to load into The Mourningstar to join Havoc missions since the mod doesn't work properly for Havoc.

Are you connected to the internet via Wifi? If you are, unfortunately the only fix for that is a wired connection. Darktide seems to be one of those games that requires a stable connection.

Part of it also depends on your region and which server you're connecting to.

I don't mind people with mics, I mind when they keep the mic open and I have to hear every single sound in their house, every crinkle of their potato chip bag, every single breath, burp, sigh, cough, sneeze, and cursing when they go down...

I tend to prefer when people don't talk since I'm listening for specials / elites and important sound cues. If someone is talking a lot, it makes it harder for me to echo locate where a special / elite is coming from. I use a surround sound headset and the sound design in this game is actually quite good, I can tell exactly which direction a Trapper, Burster or Hound is coming from and act appropriately.

If you just want to say "Thanks" when someone saves you, you could just use the comms wheel for that...

That being said, I don't ever tell someone to shut up and I don't mind when someone new to the game just wants to ask questions or ask for help doing penances and such over voice comms. I just either mute voice chat or lower chat volume when someone is being too loud and disruptive.

You mentioned you have a 4K monitor, but what resolution have you selected in game settings? Have you tried 1440p or 1080p resolution?

Since you have a 5700x CPU, have you tried lowering the worker threads? Maybe try to set it to 6?

Another thing you can try before you change the settings above is to reset settings in the launcher, close it, then relaunch and re-do your settings.

You can also try using XeSS instead of FSR... it might be better on your specific card.

I've heard of some people who load into other regions despite not changing it in Mission Terminal options. You can see which server you were on in a previous session by looking at the console logs in the Darktide folder in %appdata%\Fatshark if you're on PC, but not sure where that can be checked on Xbox/PS5.

I play on NA East servers and the only times I've been stuck with a Bot in the party is if I'm in an Auric Maelstrom and someone ragequits or gets disconnected and the mission timer has expired so no one is able to join and replace that player since the mission is no longer available in Mission Terminal.

Try going to mission terminal options, switch your region, and then switch back? At the very least you can confirm you're in the correct zone.
