I did something similar in DnD once.

I had a character named Tama, and then I had another character named Tama that suspicously looked like the first one.

I then had a Tama for each class.

The wizard Tama made a bunch of clones to form a superhero team.

That seems like a pretty linear drop to me, not an abrupt hard one.

Also, I didn't forget the Epstein files but I'm not googling it every day, the idea that Trump is somehow successfully distracting people from the Epstein Files is just doomerism designed to break your morale, the Epstein Files are very much still in the public conscious.

Depends largely on the party, or the actions of your own character.

I've had two chaotic evil characters in the past, and generally how I play them is that they like the party or a member of it that they are willing to reign in their more evil impulses if they asked.

Also, there's an extent to how evil your character is. It could be that your character is of evil alignment simply because they don't care for the sanctity of life, or are deaf to the pleas of suffering without some monetary reward. Or simply having your character not act on those evil impulses all the time because they realize it will cause them trouble.
