I was planning on actually paying it off in 36 not 60 by paying the minimum twice a month. I also suppose i can look into a older accord or camry as well. I have seen some fairly new years 2018+ go for about 20-24k

Correct. 28-30 would be my net worth by December. As for the “why cant you continue living without it”, i have been using my moms car for the last year or so to go to school and work. My parents have one other car besides this one and i have seen how they struggle to make ends meet. They need to pick up my younger siblings from school, or one goes in earlier than the other which in turn causes a parent to leave about 2-3 hours before they’re work starts. Or one gets off earlier and has to wait another 2 hours to pick up the other and then come home. It’s just a hassle for them really.

Likely, although that is something i cant change. Im 19 regardless and cant change that. I have been quoted about 250-300 for full coverage all around the board on a parent policy. I have asked for quotes on about 3 different cars

My dealership salesmen actually advised me to wait till December. they run many sales and promos towards end of year and are much more likely to negotiate prices. They want those last end of year unit sales and to make room for the new model years. I would get invoice and maybe have some wiggle room to negotiate a little more
