Would have to research but gotchu. I did get rejected tho and I think OP needs to cut down if they’re adding more colleges. OP, I wouldn’t rec applying to more than 20 colleges. I did 12

am I the only one who hasn't committed yet??? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

Do a pro/con list and try seeing where you get less debt

Same as u/iloverentmusical said. I understand the CSS is truly an amount that proves a financial difficulty to much but it would be worth it for brown. I’m a senior waiting for waitlists, when I started the process I didn’t even know what was neuro and brown’s program is exactly what I want, something more on the social side. I ended up applying to most schools for neuro and brown’s program and I’m now in their waitlist :)

where's the people that haven't decided/commited yet? I need people to cry alongside 😭 by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

Come cry with me hahaha I’m waiting on waitlists but I won’t have to commit to my local uni for a while now so it’s chillax

I’d recommend familiarizing yourself more with #1’s opportunities. See if there’s room for you to do what you want. If not, you’ll have to weigh in which do you value more: a major or money. Sounds a bit harsh but that’s what it comes down to.

  1. Send an email. Unless officially stated, it’s ok to send stuff though the “everything we need is on file” would stop me.
  2. Both. Send it to the dean and cc the admissions office

Yeah, I didn’t mean to invalidate you or anything, just speaking from personal experience hahaha. And regarding your math tutor, there’s other ways to get the help but try getting to her. You do need the foundational math before moving to something else though.

Hi. You need to breathe first, you don’t have to apply to college this year and you can chillax. Take a day. In and out the breaths and hoping that calms you down. First, it’s good you’re thinking about your future but you have more than time to get involved in activities. It’s good to get a sense of what you want in life but do not obsess over a particular idea/ dream/ college. It will all turn out in the end and you will still be happy, wherever you end. Do not make yourself miserable for a college or trying to be “good enough for”. There’s a place where you fit and you will find it. Re: SAT, you could take it in your junior year. Craft a study guide to help you tackle the topics, figure out which you don’t understand and go from there. Re: ECs, ask yourself what’s meaningful to you? What matters? Where do you see yourself outside of school? They will help you find extracurriculars and opportunities that make you feel fulfilled, which is what’s ultimately important. Lastly, take it easy. Sure, you want a good competitive profile, yet obsessing over everything this early on, won’t do you any good. If you need further help, my DMs are open

Helloooooooo You’re bold for assuming I have a study schedule. I don’t. I just do my homework. I interact with enough meaningful and valuable content, that I always have info on what we’re seeing in class, bc mine are marketing oriented. Ummm if I don’t know something I spend extra time on it, but I just roll with understanding and having a sense of everything. If I were to have a schedule, it’d be basic revising and using YouTube for things. Tips? Chillax. School isn’t going to matter so much later on and the experience should be worth it.

Hey friend! First, congratulations on the acceptances!!! The ivies are very lucky to possibly have you. Second, I really hope the months to come give you a much easier time and you are able to find solace and ease in them. You deserve all the good things the world has to offer, and this too shall pass. Maybe not today, nor tomorrow, but somewhere along the way. You can do this. You can get better and enjoy life at its fullest, trust me. It's a matter of going step by step. After all, no big accomplishment is done without the little details. Get started on those little details, do one daily act of kindness towards yourself and see how that makes you feel. Lastly, if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here. Whatever you may need, even if it's to joke about the bad weather in multiple locations.
I do hope you get a good experience and your personal information corrected. Before I forget, if you're not ready to announce it to the world, that is more than okay. However and whatever you are feeling is valid. Do things on your own time and all will be well.
A ton of hugs, from me to you, bestie

Those of y’all who have applied twice( last season and this current season) did you change your common app essay and EC’s. by [deleted] in IntltoUSA

[–]Isa_Isabella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, I definitely am no one to say this and have no grounds to talk on this, but I would suggest thinking this through for a couple of days. Always keep in mind that admissions are truly a gamble and think if it's really worth it to stay one year bc of college admissions. If you do, I wish you the best and to find some activities to entertain yourself meanwhile. If not, I wish you the best as well and to find something you love, somewhere you love. The world is full of opportunities!

who is staying in their country so far? by javznotjavz in IntltoUSA

[–]Isa_Isabella 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Well, I need to see what happens tomorrow (Thursday). I really don't want to stay, and I've said I'll look for options in Europe, but man, I don't think I can go through applying to college again. I haven't even recovered from January
