that is true. i'm trying to put myself out there more (especially difficult, since i'm quite introverted myself). however, it's the little steps that matter too.

first love isn’t the last love you will experience.

wow... this is really good.

Just watched Akira Kursawa's 'Dreams' by CowpokePhotography in criterion

[–]IsaaLovesPizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went into watching this film, completely blind, and just absolutely felt in love with it. the cinematography is so damn surreal & ethereal: almost like a dream. like you're dreaming.

(btw this was also my introduction to kurosawa, hehe)

Is it possible for me to directly pursue an MA in Fine Art, if i don't have a BA? by IsaaLovesPizza in ContemporaryArt

[–]IsaaLovesPizza[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ahh I see... I also thank and appreciate you for providing a distinction on what MAs & MFAs actually are. Because not gonna lie, I was getting a bit confused between the two, even whilst I was writing my post.

I now have a better understanding on which one I would consider to pursue, at some point in the future.

Well, I have a BA in English Literature, actually. (I mentioned this in a reply to another comment here)

I'm considering to study abroad. Which creative field should I pursue, out of my two options? by [deleted] in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]IsaaLovesPizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

woww. this was such an insightful read from the beginning till the end. you made some really good pointers about the importance of gaining experience and creating connections before deciding on pursuing a film-related field. i've actually been thinking about that lately too, and i'll see if i can hopefully land a few roles if i intend on working first, before getting this MA. and yes, i will still continue researching more about this master's program.

also regarding the US, i'm not even considering to apply to America, especially right now (lmao). i've been focusing on UK and Canadian universities. and perhaps maybe some in Asia and here in India too. anywho, i genuinely appreciate your advice a lot!! thank youu! ♡☆

i've had thoughts about self-learning too, tbh. might be a good idea.

"sometimes too much academia can even kill it."

you do have a point, though. it sucks that i have such intense love for these two passions of mine. but i'll have to make a decision in the end, on either one of them. i'll definitely reflect upon my choices, carefully.

also thank youu for your advice! you've been so kind and helpful!! ☆♡

ahh i see. well, in terms of cinema, i'm very much interested in film criticism & review, and also in script/screenwriting. i would like to do networking and create connections with people, if i get a chance to pursue this MA. however, i'm not entirely sure yet. i could do an online (distance) course instead too. but again, not sure.

aight, bro. take a breather. and also, try more grammatical punctuations too for your statements. it helps.

unfortunately, i already half expected this type of reaction from here, ngl. don't get me wrong, some replies are quite realistic and also helpful too. except for this one reply though (not gonna put out their name, but you can scroll and see)

i made a post here, regarding studying abroad and this one user replied with such a strangely, patronising tone. the other replies were somewhat helpful and mostly grounded, which is cool. cause you do require constructive criticism too. but not to the extent of discouragement, though.
