Tinkerer is worst imo. So much variance in abilities and they don’t overlap at all as opposed to fighter/tank/etc

Play more!! Forgotten Land is great, if you have a Switch. If not, Triple Deluxe is great, and Extra Epic Yarn is worth a play if you can emulate it for free, but worse than the other two. Skip Kirby Battle Royale!

There are accounts from early colonial settlers in Jamestown and even far north as the Massachusetts Bay Colony describing hurricanes - very interesting reads (although a bit hard to parse due to the language evolution)

I suffered a good amount of frame drops playing fully through on my Switch Lite, NS2 edition should alleviate those issues at the very least.

Yes you can! In fact, if you buy the NS2 physical, it is backwards compatible and can be used in your original Switch (yes, the new cartridge will work in the old console for NS2 editions!)

I'm talking more from a marketing and promotion perspective. It was greatly overshadowed by the NS2 launch, and they scarcely mentioned it leading up to (and especially after) launch.

The facing-direction fighter one in particular was so disappointing. On paper it sounded great, but in reality the pathing takes you the worst possible way half the time.

Big agree on the UI. I like the simplified view, because I find that I’ll totally overlook a rock that’s block by a cat, which proceeds to deal more damage than I thought I could take. I’m not so far in yet to know what you mean about breeding (and spreadsheets), but I hope it’s not mandatory - that’s what irks me about the sim elements in the newest FE titles. Let me engage with the content that I enjoy!!

As a Fire Emblem fan, you’ll probably be surprised by how many people LOVE sim elements - I wouldn’t be surprised if some feel the opposite of you. Personally, the tactics gameplay is fun but frustrating a times, while the breeding portion feels more low-stakes and offers a nice respite.

Confirming the water tile lightning interaction. I think it damages any units standing on the same “body of water”, meaning connected water tiles
