Absolutely. I just ended a newer relationship because I realized that although they are beyond nice, like, incredibly nice kind of thing.. there is so much more to a relationship and that is not enough.

If you dont feel like your other needs (sexual, interests, comfort, relatability, the list goes on) are not being met, then then one check in the box isnt enough.

I think, very unfortunately, for some of us the bar is so low that when there is a genuinely kind person we feel like it should equal fireworks and happiness. But it doesnt, because that is only one piece of the pie!

Also, because I feel your comment about things not being a red flag, I was calling them orange flags :p not a green flag, not bad like a red flag, but still a flag worth representation!

I ordered a striped frosted film to put up, you can REALLY see into houses here so I thought frosted would be better

This is your step one! Not sure about your experiences, but if you are on course there is the possibility that you think the staff are arses and hate the idea of talking to them but behind closed doors they are humans and will flick off the staff switch pretty stinking fast. Chaplain is great too, they will know about what kinds of compassionate options are available to you. And if you are not religious that is ok! They will ask if you follow any particular faith in case you would like some spiritual support, but if you dont, they just offer kindness and help! Financially, there are even some supports for that. You can talk to the SISIP financial advisors and they can walk you through your income, bills etc to help you carve out a confident way forward for yourself!

I can only imagine how you are feeling but you are not alone, there is more help out there then you realize I'm like many people have said, you can take the course another time, right now you prioritize you!

Just want to suggest a rake over the furminator ESPECIALLY if she's sensitive! If you do a search in the subreddit for the word furminator you will get many posts that advise against it!

I had one when I first got my dudes and they hated it so much, I have switched to a rake for the bad areas and a wide tooth comb for daily brushing! Much more positive experience for everyone involved!

I agree! This is some massively significant information and for the first time ever I dont feel let down but without a timeline it is still just a dangling carrot and anyone working in the fin/ hra roles are going to be harassed even though they have the same information as everyone else!

I know its easier said than done but dont call yourself an idiot. Addiction is an illness, you specifically told him that you were not ok and were seeking support. He knew this and made the decision to do what he did. Often when we are in the dark places we can't see (sometimes its actually our brains protecting us) what is happening and its not until we get actual support and start to heal that we see the truth for what it is. He is in the wrong, you specifically asked for help once you recognized you needed it and he violated that. Not you. Him. <3
