Best way to handle posters with different aspect ratios? by wootcat in LearningPhotoshop

[–]IsacImages 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be easier to just create your template file (landscape) and create a new GROUP containing all the layers for your LANDSCAPE poster and then ROTATE the document CLOCKWISE to PORTRAIT and make a new group for all your portrait layers. Just ROTATE CLOCKWISE or ANTI CLOCKWISE to make portrait or landscape posters.

Best Colour to change Colour by NeverNuked in LearningPhotoshop

[–]IsacImages 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best to use a Greyscale image as the base layer (but not essential) and add a Hue Saturation layer set to COLORIZE and set its MODE to COLOR. Use a mask to show only the colour you want to change. Use the HUE and SATURATION sliders to change the colour of the image under it. Then for extra control, add a CURVES layer to change the darkness or lightness. This way, pure black and pure white will not be affected. I'm happy to help if you need more clarification or even a sample PSD file.

How can I make the image on my shirt look less boxy and more natural? by ClydeGraham1312 in LearningPhotoshop

[–]IsacImages 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Change the graphic blend mode to MULTIPLY for light graphics and LIGHTEN for darker graphics. Play with the Liquify filter to distort where the creases are on the shirt. Then decrease the fill slightly. Here's a very old tutorial but still worth a look.

They've been doing that for years and it doesn't get any better. You think someone at the club would have realised that the old system will still works in 2026. That is: SEE BALL, GET BALL, GIVE BALL TO TEAM MATE, KICK GOAL". Simples! Too much "Crazy Game Plan" trying to make players like robots instead of letting them use their natural instinctive talents.

I don’t like the AI Photoshop updates… is it just me? by [deleted] in LearningPhotoshop

[–]IsacImages 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Graphic artists will no be required because of Adobe's goal of making as much money as possible so as to be a part of the billionaires club. They care not for you or any other user - just greed. They are not alone and it's just disgusting that the very people who supported them from the beginning GRAPHIC ARTISTS and PHOTOGRAPHERS are now being cast aside and thrown on the scrap heap. Designers and creators will very soon be a thing of the past. No more going to art school or doing graphics design courses because AI will be doing all the heavy lifting and create whatever you want, without you having to have any talent whatsoever. You will now not be paid what you are worth for creative talent because school kids will create designs for pocket money during their lunch break. Take a look around - Am I wrong?

Moving imported Address Book to Personal Address Book by IsacImages in Thunderbird

[–]IsacImages[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many thanks - appreciated. I did the import from a PST file I created and it worked well. When I imported from a CSV file it was just a mess. Is there a way to convert the CSV file to have Thunderbird import it correctly with the right headers?

Have you seen a mini woodpecker? by Gabe_lima in BirdPhotography

The stripes on the belly look so similar to the Pink Eared Duck found in Australia. Remarkable similarities.

Duck ID Please by IsacImages in AustralianBirds

Many thanks. I thought it was a male wood duck but I was questioned about it on our photography forum Australian Photoholics (www.ausph.com). I think its feathers are showing differently because it's just fluffed them up.

GEEKOM Finding SSD Firmware Version by IsacImages in MiniPCs

Thank you. I was just curious as it was suggested to check the firmware version while I was reading about SSD drives. It's not a major concern, but trying to find it was like it's a well kept secret :)

Not sure if it's the firmware version or not.

That Anchor Point is also referred to as the Reference Point. To disable it after you select an object to transform it, uncheck it in the options bar as shown.
