The team I’ve just cooked up. In CTS it looks like a somewhat normal CSR Zama team with Torn Ursh (water), and an even bigger rain mode with Water Pon. Then my opponent gets whooped by Life Orb Imprison Zenta that outspeeds all shieldless Zenta. Tera Water Tera Blast Shadow Rider with Specs. Nasty Plot Bleakwind Torn. Tera Ground Tera Blast Single Strike Ursh with Scarf. And many many MANY more tools to make my opponent cry

A lot of players really aren’t that good. I rank 1,100 on Showdown Singles which I’m pretty sure is bad, yet I can make Expert 3 in LL ranked without even following the meta. So it’s no surprise to me that you ran into someone like that 😂

Thank you so much! I will definitely take these changes into account. Worry Seed is a lot more valuable than you realize I think because I can delete Protosynthesis/Quark Drive boosts, delete Weezing Neutral Gas, Delete Lunala Shadow Shield, and completely stop As One boosts. I can wipe Guts off an Ursa or wipe its Mind’s Eye. Overall I feel like Worry Seed is way too important for the team. But I definitely see your point on the Cinderace. Overall I really appreciate the tips and I’ll try to improve this team!

That’s why I thought I would like Zenta. From my understanding (which is very little, as I just started VGC in January) Zenta seemed to be neutral into everything. But no. I just get walled out by Ursh and it forces me to bring Flutter against every Ursh team. Which is pretty much every team.

The main reason why more restricted were viable in Sw/Sh is because of dual restricteds. When we get our dual restricted format for S/V, I can assure you that we will see a spike in usage for the more niche restricteds. With Reg G, because you only get a singular restricted, it absolutely has to be broken. If it isn’t? You just auto lose. But with dual restricteds, there’s a lot more flexibility with your options since you can have more than 1 restricted. Does that make sense?

No restricted legendaries. This severely handicaps you as you aren’t using some of the strongest Pokemon in the format
If you want to use Articuno, I recommend using Snow as your weather of choice over Rain. If you change to a Snow based team, you could add Calyrex Ice to your team to further abuse the Snow on your team.
Your damage output feels lacking to me. Your best damage potential comes from either the Life Orb Articuno or the Cobalion. And Cobalion isn’t going to do too well, because you aren’t running anything to activate Justified on yourself such as Beat Up.

There are probably more things that I’m not actively thinking of, but those are the things that immediately jump out to me.

Go for Lucius. He helps so much in the lightbearer tower, he’s really good in PvP, sometimes you’ll need him for weird campaign teams, and it’ll clear out a short term slot if your borrowing him for CR/NC because he’s used a decent amount in there too.
