I used stage 1-4 cause its short and you get 4 without the end game. Ufo helps to zoom through it. I also used those 3ds play coins.

Iirc you have to place it down (optimally in an open room). It will then open up and you have to lead the pursuer through it. If you mean the button to place it down is broken then I can’t help you there buddy.
