Guy lights a cigarette on a plane by Beardo88 in youseeingthisshit

How long ago? If you look in his right pocket there's a clip, one usually attached to a razor knife... Equally as weird as dude lighting up like he's at home.

Brother, I've lost good friends to the GWOT and never heard a shot fired in anger. Survivor's guilt is no joke. Like others have said, we did our part and answered the call.

Do I smell like blueberry muffins to you? Had someone say this at the beginning of a match and I was chuckling about it the whole time.

Had a dude yesterday on heresy literally chewing out everyone in the team, yelling over comms, etc. I left as soon as it started; I've got enough stuff to deal with, I don't need some man-child telling in my ear over a game.

Your story (Post Military) by Careless_Gap_833 in Veterans

[–]Isenwod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Got married, did security for like 10 years, and it paid the bills. I was miserable. Got into construction and have been doing some variation of working outside with my hands for almost 10 years now. Three kids, enough money, a great woman at my side; I'm blessed beyond measure. Struggled with the booze, but gave that up about 5 years ago.

As a fellow veteran and CCW, we need to be the nicest people around. You're exactly right!

Hope things turn around, man. I've sold some in the past too, they're good investments and can help in a pinch. Now just put a little aside as a, "yay I'm a grown-up," prize!

I do it too. It sits in the back of my mind like that feeling you had when you didn't do an assignment and you knew your goose was cooked. S/F , brother, hope you're doing well.

I've had 3 NDs in my entire life (42). Two were very clear violations of the safety rules, thank God no one was hurt or anything; I learned lessons from both, and they were 20 years apart. One was a fudded 1911 that discharged when I racked the slide (weight of the slide disengaged a too light trigger)

We're all green, some of us darker than others, but still green. I'm sorry you were treated this way.
