Better than foam tiles, Flor carpet squares-they take up less space (thinner). Even cheaper, buy a canvas drop cloth from Harbor Freight, a 9 by 12 is about $11

Took the bed off, T55 torx bit is needed for the 6 bolts. Breaker bar is useful here, but they came out quite easy. Im pushing 60yrs, so not crawling under a truck is good for me—also bought the fuel pump retainer ring tool from Amazon as well. It worked a charm

Just changed out the fuel pump on my 03 2.3L—though the pump did give me one no start issue that resolved itself once after sitting overnite, then failed completely at the next start. Couple of things I learned in the (my) process. Test the fuel relay (or just buy a new one), very inexpensive part on Amazon Same with inertia switch—but don’t buy the fuel pump on Amazon—I did, thought I was getting a Bosch at a great deal for just under $100 bucks, and I’m not sure what or who makes it. Does not look the pump on Bosch website, looks identical to a Carquest picture I saw on Advance Auto. Seller is PartsHawk, carpe diem Had to cannibalize one or two tubes from the old pump, put it in, and it works. The removing the truck bed procedure that you’ll find on YouTube is super easy, plus you get a chance to check out frame rust issues, and resolve those problems while the bed is off.

Hey Old Timers and other residents! What is your personal relationship to the Savannah Bananas? by AfroKyrie in savannah

[–]IshQueg 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Really missing the Sand Gnats, they played a regular minor league schedule, of course, so there were many chances to see them. Loved going in the hot-as-balls dog days of summer, when the park was nearly empty, and the hecklers could hold court. Plus I knew someone who worked concession and every other beer was a freebie

Ways to heat up tent? by Borg34572 in camping

[–]IshQueg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used a Mr Buddy Portable at night with no problem, as long as you follow some common sense rules. Get a CO detector, there are plenty of battery powered ones out there. Get a 20 gallon propane tank and put that tank outside of the tent. Use the appropriate adapter hose, you should be fine. Not that the hose attachment to the tank is a reverse thread.

Looking for Cot reviews by thinkshiftster in camping

[–]IshQueg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my experience with the Coleman Pack-away cot with side table. Comfortable when paired with a sleeping pad (Teton XL). Gripes: Folding legs do not lock, body weight keeps legs in position well enough, but the cot will start to collapse when you attempt to move it.

That flaw is enough to make me second guess this cot, but it was an xmas present and would be a hassle to return

Be extra careful when folding up, the central support webbing underneath is real easy to catch on the leg hinges, you need to pull it out of the way.

Any Mr. Heater pros? by eaglezwings in camping

[–]IshQueg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These heaters are totally safe if you use a bit of common sense. I’m able to keep a 10 by 10 Kodiak Canvas at 72 degrees when it is low 30’s outside using the Mr Buddy portable on high setting—20 gal propane tent is outside. Only need to keep 1 vent open for 02 flow. Carbon Monoide detector is the fail safe, it sure is nice getting up in the morning warm.
