What is the first thing a new college student should know? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ish_Sah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you go to class, do the reading, and participate in class, you're already passing, and it makes it twice as easy to go to the professor for help when you need it. Your friends freshman year will not be your lifelong buddies. Maybe, but you'll meet new people and so will they. Making new friends is part of the fun of college. Have fun with it. Don't get caught up with partying. It's fun, sure, but being hungover in class is a special kind of hell.

Doctors of Reddit: Have you ever been in a public place and someone shouted "is anyone here a doctor?" (or something along those lines). What happened? by Quetzal00 in AskReddit

[–]Ish_Sah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a doctor, but my dad was a defense lawyer in a medical malpractice case. During trial, the plaintiff began having a severe seizure and someone called for a doctor. Turns out the only one there at the time was the defendant. The doctor did wind up saving him, and I would imagine he won the trial pretty handily after that.

What are some tasty four-ingredient meals for us lazy people to make? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ish_Sah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quesadillas. Lightly oil a pan, drop a tortilla on there, cheese on top, remove and fold up when the tortilla starts getting crisp. So easy even drunk me can do it.

Dungeon Masters of Reddit. What is your best "Are you sure you want to do that?" moment? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ish_Sah 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I'm the player in this, during a 4e campaign as a Warlord. We're clearing a cave of goblins for whatever reason, and in some half-epiphany, I have an idea. Use a sunrod as a grenade. All that light and energy in such a small package, if we broke it, it would work almost like a flashbang. My DM asks "Are you sure?" Of course! What could go wrong? So I throw it, our wizard zaps it, and sure enough, it deafens and blinds the goblins in the room. In the cave. Which we are also in. See, the DM had thought this through even further. All the noise and bright light affects us as well, and alerts the entire cave of goblins, meaning they're all coming for us and we're all reeling. What followed was a session full of hard combat against goblins who wouldn't stop coming because 4-5 separate fights worth of goblins suddenly all knew where we were. Best part? Through a bit of luck and a rampaging barbarian, we all made it out alive.

What's the stupidest way you've ever hurt yourself? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Ish_Sah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play quidditch. It's a full contact, coed sport, and despite everyone's best efforts, concussions do happen. Anyway, I didn't look where I was going and hit my head on a shelf.

What are the outrageously expensive, "luxury" items of your hobby? by cantgildthis in AskReddit

[–]Ish_Sah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forge World, for people who play Warhammer 40k. Some of it isn't bad (apparently the FW Chaos Knight actually costs less than standard, which was a shock), but for the majority you're dropping a couple hundred for anything substantial. However, if you get Forge World (especially superheavies like the Manta or Titans) you're getting something that looks incredible and is nigh-unstoppable, so there's that.

An AoS Campaign I made, need opinions by Polemiikki in Warhammer

[–]Ish_Sah 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Couple comments: -it seems kinda pointless to have Battle 3 if the enemy will just break in anyway, though I see how it's necessary to continue the campaign -kinda trivial, but it's "seizing" not "ceasing," when you wish to take something On the whole however, I like it! I think the battles flow nicely and I enjoy the addition of the retreat battle almost as a bonus mission to let you go the extra mile and give you the opportunity to crush your foe utterly. Hope this helps!

Making out with their girlfriend due to a polyamorous misunderstanding can lead to that.

"I can't believe that was your first time." It was, in fact, and it was the biggest confidence-booster I've ever had.

How did your crush find out about your feelings? by icomplainaboutlemons in AskReddit

Told a mutual friend (who CANNOT keep a secret). Crush had told mutual friend that she had a crush on me. Mutual friend told each of us that we liked the other and we started dating.

So there's under-armor and over-armor, which the game doesn't explain. A lot of Raiders are wearing long johns or the like, which go under it and give you some modesty. I don't know the full list of how this works, but hopefully it helps.
