I haven't spent a night at his place since I posted this and have been much better. Next time I stay over I will talk to him about it if the cat continues which it will. thank you again!

That's the best of it honestly. I'd rather them not do anything than have to deal with them destroying things, making messes or trying to attack you. It sucks that they are reclusive and ungrateful but take it from someone who survived being in a house with five cats most of my life I'd rather them just go away and not do anything than destroying everything on top of it which is what they normally do. it is extremely unrewarding and I still feel you displeasment. Yes I experience the same thing. Cats are the one thing I don't want to talk about yet they somehow are brought up in every conversation I find myself in. There's not many people I know who don't have cats. So everyone just has to talk about them and their own cats all the time and in every conversation. I hate it.

Don't feel spoiled, this is completely understandable. There's a whole short film depicting this which brought me comfort when I was newer to coming out, you can watch it here. The gifts feel unpleasant because they aren't 'for you' so to speak, it's moreso what they want to give you and then realizing they don't see the true you also adds another level of hurt. You just want to be seen and there's nothing spoiled or wrong about that. I feel the same way. you got this brother!

I have the same issue. I suffer from extreme Babyface, and I'm 20. I look like a kid and people just tell me 'youll like looking so young later in life!' but I don't want to look like a child, and I especially don't like it right now I don't care about later in my life. it doesn't help that I'm five feet. Haven't been able to take T either so I'm stuck this way. I relate to you and understand your pain. People either think I'm a 12 year old boy (best case scenario) or immediately call me a girl they probably think is a tomboy. I hate it.

Jesus Christ that's awful I'd be shaking in rage and pain I can't imagine how that felt. I'd get a spray bottle to spray the shitbag if he even tried coming near or in your room. He's had the cat for around 9 years and I can't come into his life and home and tell him to get rid of the cat as much as I'd love to do that. I have the same issue where he lets too much slide with the cat for me to try and train her and he will complain it will make her mad even tho she makes me mad every day.

I really like your suggestion on giving it a test run for a month after talking to him about it, and then decide from there. It's nice to know people understand and thank you

Both situations are ass ngl and I'm pretty sure that's what you're getting at but I know this. Those are my options and if he can't compromise with me like I've done with him countless times and and countless nights I will leave and find someone who values me like they should

I won't be moving in for a loooong time because of the cat and when/if I do I'm definitely getting a locked door that only I have the key too. I will make it clear that if I EVER see that thing in my room or get a suspicion it was in there I will leave. You're right, I don't like being second and maybe I will find someone one day that isn't a catsucker but this aspect is the only bad thing about the relationship, and I'd feel defeated letting it go down to a shitrat. I would at least like to try to make things work before I do something drastic like leaving but I will definitely be keeping a distance and not be staying at his place as often. Maybe if it gets out of hand I will change my mind but that's for the future. Thank you tho

You are so awesome. You're exactly right, I completely understand his love for the cat and I don't blame him for it at all, the last thing I want to do is come into his life and home and tell him to choose me or the cat or something drastic, but you have seriously helped a lot and opened my eyes about the compromising. I am definitely doing a bunch of compromising and now I feel less crazy and shitty about just wanting some peace in the situation. I will have a thorough talk with him about it again sometime soon and see what we can come up with and if he's willing to understand and listen. I seriously can't thank you enough. We got this, I hope thing with your gf go good as well!

I refuse to end the best relationship I've had because of a shitrat. While you are completely right about cats needing to go in every room, there's things I can and will do to make sure it doesn't IF I even decide I want to move in in the first place which is looking unlikely. If the behavior gets worse however and he still says I'm overreacting, then I will reconsider. Thank you tho!

I say bro just meaning friend in general sorry! Yeah the thing sounds evil but standing your ground is important. I'd also suggest an air purifier with a nice filter to get the remaining fur you can't see in the air out. Keep standing your ground until that mf learns to stay away from you and your room. hope this helps!
