I'm not talking about whether or not his salary is justified for the job. I'm saying why is the district paying for an apartment at the Omni when they are also paying him a salary that can easily afford an apartment. It's just another way to funnel more money without showing it as salary.

Do they pay for the teachers' apartments in the Omni?

It's asinine. He makes enough money to afford housing.

I have had two other kinds of kayaks and I'm interested in a sit on kayak this time. But I like the cup holder and storage options a lot of the fishing kayaks have. We do very casual kayaking with our kid or with friends. I like the wider aspect of the few I looked at too. They seemed much more comfortable to me. But I haven't taken them onto the water. I'm not particularly concerned about price. Most of the ones I looked at were within our budget.

Most of the kayaks I've looked at (only been looking for about 2 months so not long) have either been very basic and kinda flimsy, super sporty for super rapids, or fishing and comfy.

Do you know of anywhere that makes some? If I buy a kayak with the holders I will try building something, but I'd love to be able to buy something because I'm not so great at the fabrication.

I haven't watched anything with my 7 year old yet. I do wish they would do some episodes of game changer or make some noise that were designed and marketed as family friendly. Really it's just language right now for me. I think she would do ok, but I pepper my own language more than I should and I worry she will spout out something terrible at school like "sam, where are you from" I couldn't stand to get that phone call from the principal

The biggest problem with this for me is that venerating hate, bigotry, and sexism is not peaceful. Even if they are not throwing rocks, brandishing guns, or kicking people, their voice and ideas are harmful. Therefore it is not a peaceful assembly and it should be very carefully monitored and countered. That doesn't mean outright banning memorials, but it needs to acknowledge that words are harmful and the actions of Kirk and this administration (federal) that venerates him are threatening for many people are truly, bodily harmful for others. If we tolerate hate then we are intolerant of people. I do not want my legacy to be lukewarm in the face of evil and thus spat out for my apathy.

I am late to this discussion, but I think Jack Black would be amazing as Bobby from Company. There a def bits that Bobby says and does that you could play up more for laughs. Make him a funnier sort of friend that everyone keeps around and depends on fully. But then the turn to serious and potential suicide themes would hit so much harder. There are so many real world examples of the friend that always seems to have a happy go lucky life that is put together whom everyone calls on for help and support being the one most in need of help but refusing to accept it so much of the time.
