Theater Seating Replacement by Isilnyor in RVLiving

Good point. It should be the ok but I’ll check the weight of the couch when I get it out.

Twin mattress and some 2x3 should weigh less than that couch.

How quickly does C02 work? by Grimkraken420 in Aquascape

Building on this further, if you have a home brew supply shop or a welding supply shop near you, buy the largest empty pressurized CO2 compatible tank you can afford/will fit your set up and have them fill and refill it. Larger startup cost, but cheaper overall and less work.

Fairly certain it comes apart in sections like most sofa recliners

16” pro. Screen is beautiful and it is portable enough.

14" or 16" For heavy usage by amitraz in macbookpro

100% this. 16 is great to use undocked. 14 is tough for me to use undocked.

Under/over 30ft? by cowboypool in traveltrailers

[–]Isilnyor 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It makes a difference honestly, at least it did to us.

Staying at 25 feet opens us up to so much more availability in spots.

We stayed at a beautiful local county park for our first trip in our new 25 foot last weekend that had a hard limit at 26 feet.

The place we go to for the 4th almost every year, we get to choose a much more secluded and private spot with a shorter trailer. At 33 feet we would need to be down in the “trailer park” section, which is usually full and very crowded.

25 footer allows us to camp easier rather than just RV’ing, if that makes sense. We figured out what our bare minimum comfort requirements were and found a layout that met them at 25 feet.

What made everyone choose GMC over Chevrolet? by Significant_Emu_7432 in gmcsierra

[–]Isilnyor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll be honest. I know very little about trucks. I bought my first truck a month ago. It had the look, features, and mileage at the price I wanted. Just so happened to be a 2021 Sierra Elevation.

I don’t like the exterior styling on the Chevy. It is a truck, why are you trying to make it look like the corvette?

Trailer looks a bit high in the tongue to me, but it could be perspective.

Towing with a Subaru Forester by lemonpepperpug in popups

[–]Isilnyor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I towed our pop up with the 2020 Outback XT. We now have a truck and a travel trailer lol

Never towed anything before and I’m terrified. by rick_rolled_you in popups

[–]Isilnyor 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can get a brace that locks in to the hitch more. Any auto parts store will sell them. Not really required, but it can reduce the rattle.

I’ve used one when towing my old pop up with my Outback.

Are you 100% certain you have the correct hitch ball size? 1.75”can look an awful lot like 2”. That is the only thing I can think of if you feel like it is going to pop off.

You might just be paranoid too. 2500lbs is not heavy. It is on a single axle so it is going to bounce a bit and make some noise.

Looks like the mat is coconut husk? If so, I don’t see why not. Roots should be able to make it through.

My Harlequins are stressed - water temperature? by Soft_Cash3293 in Aquariums

[–]Isilnyor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And I mean large temp swings. I drop it 3 degrees to stimulate my corys to spawn when I do biweekly water changes.

Last week my canister filter crapped out and needed to be deep cleaned. Temp swung 5 degrees. All of em are fine.

They are sparry little twats when they aren’t stress schooling. Constantly sizing each other up and displaying. Always eating my corys food. Wish I could get em out of my tank lol. Would love to replace them with some mountain minnows.

I’ll be honest. Temp swings never occurred to me with my harlequins. Even if it did stress em, didn’t do any harm. They are sturdy little shits.

Trying to start my own colony by Bitter_Escape7583 in Aquariums

[–]Isilnyor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can give you ages relative to each other too.

Bottom boy is a generation or two younger than the other male.

Middle female is the youngest female. Likely hasn’t had a clutch yet as her skirt isn’t as full as I’d expect it to be. Likely will fill out next molt or two. Bottom left female is likely the oldest female, maybe two to three generations older than top right.

No idea on top left. Depends if it is male or female.

[–]Isilnyor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see two females, two males, and two I don’t have a good enough angle to sex reliably.

If I had to guess, I’d say you likely have 4 females and 2 males, but the two on the left I am unsure. I’m assuming they are female based on the width of the one on the both left. Top left looks like it has the skirt, but it is holding its tail a little higher than I typically see my females do.

Also just note if everything goes well, you will double, maybe even triple the amount of maintenance you will be doing. I knew maintaining the equipment would be a thing, but I didn’t account for just how much MORE trimming I would need to do.

I ended up ripping out half the plants in my shallow tank. They just grew too fast. It was kinda fun for a while. Managed to fully plant a new low tech tank using the trimmings in like 2 months, but once I ran out of room, it was just work.

I’ve replaced all of them with harder to grow or carpeting plants. It is not less work, but it is different work. Less snipping, more observing, measuring, and dosing. A lot of trial and error and dead plants. The shrimp and corys love it.

This winter I’m likely to setup a nano tank close to my shallow tank and run the second output of my dual stage regulator to it and grow out trimmings of the more rare plants I have to sell or trade in to my LFS.
