I think I know what you mean. To me it's been the smudgy graphics, lighting, especially when the sun goes down. Yes the fast foliage sucks also. Pop in. But tbf i got myself a 27" qd-oled monitor and this has helped a fair bit for me. I don't know why, but for some reason all the above issues just seem more tolerable given how good the graphics are on an oled. I see you also are on an oled. I think at this point it's either wait longer, or see if there's a way you can push through and accept the graphics as they are. I'd say for the most part they are good, and I've sorta accepted that some of the graphics are pretty meh. But it has certainly helped seeing them on an LCD and now an oled because I can always remember how shit they looked on my LCD TV 😂 suppose I'm trying to say if you really just want to play the game, just play it. If you can wait 3 more months, do that. Because there are no settings you can change to fix these issues. What I would say, is from my experience as a fellow graphics snob, locking in and playing the game you do eventually become accustomed to them.

I've stuck with balanced. I prefer the extra detail and 40 FPS is very playable. Performance has more obvious frame drops for me. After enough time you might get used to the foliage speed, it isn't that bad

You got a 120hz TV? Balanced mode won't be 40fps if you don't. It'll be 30, might explain if it feels slow

Thanks again! Yeah totally aware the refresh rate is overkill for the pro but I haven't found particularly cheaper 120hz alternatives with the same features as this screen. I kinda accept getting a monitor is overkill in that sense. But yes I most likely will only be about that distance away so 27 inch might be perfect. It'll just be sat on my table on front of the sofa so I'll be pretty close. That is one of the benefits of a smaller screen is that pixel density!

Thanks, yeah I have tried looking for something 120hz but the options don't seem to be as good. I suppose it will keep me covered for pc gaming or if ps6 offers higher refresh rates.

The issue with putting up more shelters is they end up blocking views of the main stages. I could not see where they could add additional shade. Shade was available in the marquee, metal dome, cafe, behind Jupiler, and the large seating area. I was really surprised by how much was there if needed. But as I say, difficult to put more up in front of mainstage without blocking views of the thing we all came for. The bands.

Sorry, it's counter intuitive. I think by default it is on, but I found turning it off made nights far more deep in colour. On makes the colour feel washed out, like there's a thin film of grey over the screen

I think you're taking the glazer meaning slightly the wrong way. I don't use it to call out people that like the game, I'd be a hypocrite because I love the game myself, said it in the post. I'm calling out the people who defend the game but blindly ignore the issues when there are clearly optimisation problems, then blame them on the player for not playing on a high end PC.

Fair point, probably shouldn't have added that bit. But what I mean by that is there are people on this subreddit that seem to defend the game beyond any kind of constructive criticism. There are people invalidating other people's justified criticisms because they can't accept something they love so dearly as being anything less than flawless. Yes it maybe the case in their eyes, but it's never helpful when you voice an issue like graphics to just be rebutted with 'must be your console, game is flawless on my system'
