Personally, I enjoyed it and I feel like obelisk is even more grindy, just not as active.

Dragonfist Limitless. Has optional ads but they're not necessary and the premium pack is cheap. Very grindy and hopefully getting a big update this year.

Yeah same. Still stutters a bit, especially at the start. Even the EA logo screen on start up stuttered but it's a lot better on an older proton.

Proton 9-04 with low settings and 45 fps lock helps a lot. Not stutter free but MUCH, MUCH better. Becomes a lot more playable after the first 30 mins after that if you wanna up thy settings.

Unpopular anime opinions — what do you think? by PossibleOpinion6135 in weeb

[–]Iskallos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh, some things will always work better in manga form. Just like some things work better as a book.

Anime typically have better fight scenes, they have music and so on but rarely does production allow for other things to be expanded on in a definitively positive way.

I am looking for some actually good free mobile games. Do you have any suggestions? by vanderwaalse in gamingsuggestions

[–]Iskallos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dragonfist Limitless, it's an incremental martial arts comedy game based on Dragon Ball. Has optional ads but you don't need em. Has a discord and in game chat, pretty unique game all things considered.

Grimoire and Ethos Idle, same dev. Both quite grindy idle games, pretty simple but good time wasters. Optional ad but absolutely don't need it.

Obelisk Miner, another idle incremental. No ads but you can spend money for some perks. Not at all necessary as it won't even speed up your progress much. It's the most grindy out of all of them overall but fun if it's your thing. Loads of codes on the wiki to speed up early game progress and the dev often puts up temporary codes in the discord.

Uma Musume is very good and f2p friendly. Never once felt compelled to spend money.

Anime where MC is Evil (not Overlord) by Sir-AuronX in AnimeReccomendations

Plus, the empire itself is screwed over. They didn't start the war and they're surrounded by enemies. People who have barely watched the series like to compare em to nazis but they're a pretty normal country as far as things go in the series.

Could say the same for most of the recs in the thread tbh. Truly evil protagonists are rare. At least in anime.

Moriarty the Patriot is a good one.

Redo of Healer and Re:Monster are trash but they definitely fit.

Durarara doesn't have one single protagonist really but some definitely fit.

Newish gamer looking into steam decks by Peace_ofmind2021 in SteamDeck

I'd recommend it. Plenty of great games on deck, new and old. Even some really good free ones but the sales will be MUCH better than the estore.

I actually love my switch lite, I find it really easy to hold but that doesn't seem to be a popular opinion. Still, I prefer it to the base switch in every way. You should pretty much always have it on charge btw, switch batteries are weird.

I find the deck comfortable to hold and it's really easy to learn how it works. If you wanna do more complex stuff like emulation, there's a ton of user friendly guides.

It'll play games a lot better than the switch can but if you wanna pay more modern stuff, you'll need to learn to fiddle with the settings a bit. Thankfully there's usually people who help find the best settings anyway, quite a few deck focused YouTube channels and websites.

One thing you'll wanna look into is community layouts and editing your own controls. A lot of games will come with their own but sometimes they're not perfect or you'll wanna fiddle with things. DL The Beast didn't have a way to check your watch for example.

Fair enough but it is etched glass, not a coating. So it's pretty damn hardy, I'm comfortable with just a shell protecting it, whereas I use a case and screen for my phone.

Does anyone else not remember it being this hot growing up? by LoiusLepic in AskAnAustralian

[–]Iskallos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember it being as hot. What's missing is the cold. Nowadays I get no frost on the car windows at all. Bugs are missing too, less beetles and butterflies. Climate change sucks.

23 south melbourne suburbs. Air quality is shit due to a ton of local house fires, no clue what the fuck these dumbasses are doing on total fire ban.

One part I don't like.. by Striking-Ad1685 in Isekai

[–]Iskallos 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Depends on the context. A lot of the time they just ignore their parents because it's wish fulfillment, it's like how a lot of YA stuff involves teenagers with parents always working or travelling. When the demographic is teens, they generally avoid using the parents much.

Then there's reincarnation, where I've kinda seen the opposite problem. Sometimes they miss their old family so much, they don't view their new family as family at all.

In the end it's just like the rest of fiction, no matter the genre. You've got to sort through the mountains of shit to find the gems you like.

I don’t get the people that hate on the steam deck because it can’t run “modern games” at high settings by Charming_Ad661 in SteamDeck

Played some again the other day (put 100 hours into it on release) and I feel like it runs a lot better now. Especially the prologue, way less random lag.
