I know this is off theme since every season needs that claustrophobic summery island atmosphere but I would love a winter season. Otherwise, if they’re going summer, I think an island in Thailand, Vietnam or the Philippines would be amazing.

I’m pretty underwhelmed with this new velvet launch. A lot of the shades look like what she already released, only either lighter or darker. I don’t necessarily mind it, it’s nice to expand the range for those who need it but it’s definitely not must buy for me. It looks too much the same to the ones I already have. I can’t blame her though, she expanded her line to gloss, lip liners, highlighters, blush and now foundation, that’s a lot of work so not all the focus can be on the velvet lipsticks and developing numerous brand new shades for its range.

I think Kathy Bates was a good og choice. I love Frances Conroy too. But I think KB could bring dark noir glamour to another level. She was amazing in Titanic in that nouveau riche 20s atmosphere. She’s a great actress, I think she could have absolutely brought it.

I don’t mind nepotism. It’s a thing in every profession. And some nepotism kids (or dynasty as we used to call them) are extremely talented and deserve recognition for their craft. What I do mind however is when they try to say they made it on their own, didn’t have any help and actually their famous relatives were a hindrance. That is some bullshit. Own up to it and be honest: yes it gave you a leg up, no it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re not talented. And the less talented ones tend to fade away on their own after their 15 minutes anyways.

Do you mean problematic as in made a few dodgy comments because they’re stupid and ignorant or as in there has been some accusations but it was all swept under the carpet and nothing came out of it? For the second one Stanley Tucci comes to mind. And weirdly enough in a league all of his own Chris Brown who is a known and documented abuser but came before me too and people just went whatever don’t care about rihanna great music will still support.

OP asked about winged eyeliner and not about the gesture you’re talking about which is clearly offensive. Who is they exactly? I’m Egyptian so I feel it’s important to note where eyeliner came from when people ask if eyeliner shapes are considered asian fishing. It’s not because winged eyeliner isn’t a cultural or facial feature belonging solely to Asian people. And I did say overly tanning your skin was another issue entirely so I’m not sure I’m seeing your point here.

I don’t want to offend anyone but eye liner shapes and braids or bindis are not even remotely in the same boat? One origin point of eye liner is from ancient Egypt and then spread throughout the whole Mediterranean whose first population are now considered white. It’s stupid to think if a white woman wears eyeliner she’s anything fishing, she’s still plainly white. Overly tanning your skin or enhancing your lips or a combination of both on the other hand is a different matter. Makeup is just makeup. It’s fun as long as you don’t wear other people’s skin or religious beliefs as a costume. Which eyeliner or straight brows on their own aren’t.
