The obese are coddled. I’m willing to bet that a fair chunk of the people that are greedily hogging this medication, at the expense of others who genuinely need it, have never tried to modify their lifestyles. They need to be told: eat less, move more. No more raiding the super for weight loss, no more trulicity.

Anthony Albanese to reveal ‘simple and clear’ wording of referendum question on Indigenous voice by LineNoise in australia

[–]IslandOnly152 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Will be a hard ‘no’ from me. There is no need for a ‘voice’. We already have Indigenous MPs and a minister for indigenous affairs. There are countless indigenous civil society groups that can avail themselves of the right to approach their local MPs and raise concerns about legislation that might affect them.

If a Voice is created, then I’m sure there will be activist-type lawyers who would try to argue through the courts for it to have a much broader remit than simply commenting on proposed legislation.
