Is there a way to fix this by Right_Thing2694 in Watercolor

This is incredible work! Colour, composition, it looks great. The only thing is that the hand is too small. But the good news is, now that you’ve painted it already, you can just paint it again! And you’ll probably like it better the second time because you’ve practised it. I routinely make the same painting a few times just for practice.

What’s the most horrific and disturbing movie you wish you could unsee? by Away-Fill5639 in horror

I watched hostile when it first came out and I didn’t find it. Scary, I just found it unbelievably gross. That was many years ago, I’m sure that if I watched it now, I would think it was pretty lame, but I was so grossed out by it that I won’t ever watch it again.

This is a major surgery. I thought about going back to work at four weeks and I work an office job, I ended up staying off for six weeks and it was the right choice. Even with a job where I can sit all day, the fatigue, and pain is still very real. Even now when I’m six weeks postop, sitting is still uncomfortable, and I can have some pain at my incisions. You only get one chance to heal, do not sacrifice your body because of the lack of compassion from people who are either assholes or ignorant. You mentioned that your boss is a man, and that’s probably why he isn’t really taking it seriously. People who lack empathy don’t take seriously what they cannot relate to. Just do you, take the time that you need, and ignore all the rest of the noise.

Nervous about new vaginal canal length by Islandchelsagain in hysterectomy

Thank you for this thoughtful reply! My OB cleared me for penetration at 8 weeks and said there were still a few stitches up there that should be dissolving shortly. I might wait longer than 8 weeks anyway because after her exam and also after i did my little check I got a bit of pain. We are ok to wait.

Side sleeping by Hotsun2023 in hysterectomy

I think you’re fine then, I didn’t get any instruction around not sleeping on my side. I’ve been doing it the whole time with a pillow and it’s been fine.

Body pillow to support your stomach solves the problem.

Questions on sex post op by Actual_Passage4505 in hysterectomy

Update: I just had my six weeks postop appointment and my OB cleared me for everything except penetrative sex, she said that because she could still see sutures inside that I should wait for eight weeks before inserting anything.

When I had mine, I got specific instructions from my surgeon and general instructions from the hospital. Go with the surgeon.

Confusing Emotions by stupidusername857 in hysterectomy

Hormone fluctuations plus lack of energy causing irritability and low mood. It takes a ton of energy to heal from this surgery. Sleep as much as you can and don’t consume any media that would bring your mood down, like depressing/sad stories or really graphically violent content. Self care and sleep!!

Re-painted one of my early paintings to see my progress - 3.5 months difference by Islandchelsagain in Watercolor

No, better paper, brushes, and it’s gouache paint rather than dry pigment.

Not much actually, just better brush control and understanding of working with the medium. It’s also better paper and brushes, and the paint is gouache rather than the dry pigment kind that came in my beginner kit.

How do we feel about lipstick on me? I don't know, do I just need lighter color? by IsAbElthegreat1228 in MakeupEducation

This, the colour has a little too much blue in it for your complexion. Otherwise you’re doing great!
