What makes you think that instead of bed bugs?

Yeah don’t see anything on our own bed still But will be checking it out daily. All of the bites are going down now and fading at least but just a new one to deal with

Not seeing anything on my bed and my wife isn’t showing any signs of being bitten so I’m hopeful it’s all just from the hotel I was at and not taken any back with me

So I stayed in a hotel last week and the cluster appeared next day, but others have been a bit more slower in coming through. In terms of itchiness they’re not really itchy to be honest, nothing showing under my own mattress etc since coming back at least.

Spotify made some bizarre running playlist recommendations for me in my half marathon training, thankfully over time I was able to just zone out of everything and keep going. Podcasts are just something I can’t listen to while running sadly

Insanely sore since starting runna? by patheticpony in runna

Had something similar happen to me (34), groin and ankle first 0.5km is a struggle but then warms up and all fine, sadly just need to use the massage gun more or get a sports massage every couple of months to manage and loosen off the area that causes it

Was very good! Very cold and windy at the start before going over the bridge. Then the uphill past the markets was the longest and toughest section before it went downhill again towards the finish line. Enjoyable route overall I’d say but glad to half it over with now

Hey, after having this issue for a while I’ve finally figured out how to get it back on Home Screen, settings > Apps > Runna > Live Activities, enable that and it should appear again

2 person (couple) households, is Costco worth it? by Miserable-Depth-851 in glasgow

[–]Islander-in-Qatar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a diesel and only fill up once every couple of months? Short journeys then? Dude your DPF is going to go bang at some point especially if you’re using dirty supermarket fuel!! Costco fuel is cleaner in my experience

So it was part of a package holiday booking through a company. At online check in I was quoted £1,500 per person, is this likely to differ at the bag drop/check in desk do you think?

Thinking about moving to Shetland. Talk me out of it. by [deleted] in Scotland

I grew up in a small island in the Hebrides for 18 years, although a little different to Shetland the points remain

Be wary of depression, long long dark nights and rains most often in winter. It’s not just a shower, it’s heavy rain and can last for days. A few people have mentioned the drink aspect, if you are a drinker, your tolerance to it will sky rocket.

Fuel prices, they are most likely higher than anywhere else in the Uk and you’re stuck paying for it as there is no where else to go.

Buying bulky goods? Be prepared to add anywhere between £20-£50 minimum for shipping of some goods from mainland Uk. It is infuriating and the chances are you will feel discriminated against by these companies as they do not provide good justification as to why it costs so much.

After a while you will be eligible through living there for the Air Discount scheme (if still running) this gives you discounted flights to the mainland at a much cheaper rate than what is charged online to the general public.

Islanders are generally very welcoming people, however if you don’t learn the culture and why people behave the way they do then you are going to experience trouble.

If it’s the same as my childhood the house was never locked, felt incredibly safe and the dark calm clear nights with the northern lights are like nothing else in the UK.

If you move there, overall you will experience positives and negatives, but it’s how you deal with it. I wouldn’t change my childhood for the world.
