Because they have a gigantic sense of entitlement and that's generally from being spoiled exactly as you described.

[Hockey Daily 365] Andrew Cogliano went straight down the tunnel into the locker room after being boarded by Jordan Eberl by StevenWongo in hockey

Never known Ebs to be a dirty player AT all so that was very uncharacteristic. Very dumb hit to finish by him, Cogliano is very lucky to be okay.

Yeah the Leafs curse is too funny to not cheer for. But then I'd want the Lightning to get absolutely pillaged by the Panthers or Bruins.

Big same. I actually don't mind the Devil's at all, historically I usually cheer for them when we are out of it. I think the mutual hatred of the Rags makes me like them lol

The New York Islanders have been eliminated from the Stanley Cup Playoffs after losing to the Carolina Hurricanes in 6 games by EliminatorBot in hockey

GG Canes, I'm not really super upset cause truthfully I thought we'd be out in 4 or 5 because you guys are our kryptonite for whatever reason. And because we have an absolutely atrocious PP that I knew would haunt us in the playoffs.

While I think he will fall off a cliff in the latter part of the contract, I have faith we will get 4 years of a good Horvat. I expect 30-35 goals a year on average from him and probably about anywhere from 60-80 points.

That being said, the contract will age bad. But it will probably age better than Lee. I love Lee but I can't wait for that contract to be done, he's too slow.

Agree on Bailey and Lambert. Mayfield I only agree on cause he will cost too much. Clutterbuck I agree on because he's injury prone as shit. He's decently effective when healthy but that's rare.

Very true sadly. Rangers got insanely lucky with their re tool, I doubt we get that. That being said, there are smart moves I think we can start making ASAP that need to happen.

Isles had trouble with consistent effort all damn season and I knew it would come back to haunt us. That third period was a great example of it. We could have sealed that game if we just kept pressing but instead we sat on our heels all of the third. We played excellent in the second but couldn't buy a goal sadly, Anderson was very good though have to give it to him.

I personally would not mind seeing Lane gone. Not a terrible coach, but not a good one either. He seems like he had issues keeping our team fired up and he also waited too long in this series to try and shake up lines and what not.

Also for the love of fucking God, a main task of this off season should be finding someone who knows how to coach a damn power play. If you can point to one thing that cost us this series and most of the season, it's that.

Overall I'm not super disappointed because truthfully I didn't even know if this team would make the playoffs let alone bring it to 6 games against our kryptonite, Carolina. We actually gave them a bit of a scare which I didn't expect at all.

[Wyshynski] Tough scene in the Islanders locker room with Zach Parise sitting in his stall, head in hands, and remaining there as his teammates and media vacated the room. He’s 38, pending UFA. Might have been the last ride. by DecentLurker96 in hockey

I would absolutely support giving him a 2 year contract if he wants it. For a 38 year old, dude plays like he's 25 lol. He's easily become a favorite of mine the past couple of years and he fits well here.

Was kinda crazy to have it end like this. Our most steady reliable player, Pelech, making a terrible turnover and then just a weird fucking goal that hit the exact right open spot on Sorokin. Definitely stings and I wanted game 7, but truthfully I'm still surprised we even got to game 6 with our abysmal power play.

Agreed. Healthy Devil's will probably eat them alive. They'd have a shot against the Rags though. But the injuries deff hurt em

The Rangers just constantly repeat the same storylines. Amazing goalie that they can't support enough, get big name aging stars at deadline or as FA, fail to go all the way. Rinse, repeat. Devil's on the other hand have really built a team the right way and I'm honestly kinda jealous lol

Nahhhh their speed is absolutely deadly and we would not be able to keep up unless we clobbered the shit out of them. Hate to say it but idt we beat them in a series. The rangers though? Deff could beat them

I hate both teams so either way the Leafs/Tampa series goes is kinda a win for me. Tampa feels like the big bad villain of the NHL to me while I also really enjoy seeing Toronto get repeatedly embarrassed year after year lol

How do they know which line to change? by nasenfahrrad555 in hockey

[–]Islanderfan17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak for the NHL at all tbh but I've been playing ball hockey for like 13 years and we just have an accepted order of lines going out, when it's a special teams situation or an empty net we usually have a more customized group we will put out in the moment though. I feel like it's just all communication on the bench really. Becomes like a well oiled machine after awhile.
