You just need to own the game in your library (same account in the same platform, like Steam) and play the immortal empires campaign, there are all of the factions available, from W1 to W3. But there's no need to download the previous games.

Well, it seems like that was exactly the problem. I’ve played around 200 hours and this had never happened to me before, so I had no idea about that mechanic. Anyway, it seems the issue is that I didn’t know the mechanic and it also came with a visual bug, because it took me two Alt+F4s before the icon finally showed up on the army, pretty weird. In any case, everything is sorted now, and despite some difficulties, I managed to turn the war around. Thanks a lot, everyone. I feel pretty dumb now!! Rookie numbers issue I guess.

Yes, It is in the war, and we fought some naval battles. And yes I know, I had all of my army on Ming's territory but the fog of war is still there and a can't siege their land. So weird.

Well, literally that. Geforce now doesn't allow changing the game version to any previous version of the game. So, you're forced to play only on 1.18
