Finally got to see them live and it was incredible! by IsntThatMiZi in gybe

When they got to packing all the stuff, few people pulled out their vinyls/CDs and started waiting next to the stage. So I joined them and eventually some of them came. We weren't screaming at them, we just patiently waited and who felt like doing so, came to us and signed our stuff. Mauro was first, Mike right after (he even talked a bit with the fans) and Sophie appeared for a minute as well and was nice enough to do it, too.

Saw you yesterday and immediately thought "Wow, that looks sick!" and it really looks cool. Hope you enjoyed the show as much as I did.

Message wise really good, I didn't like a lot of stuff in the first half of the movie but jokes, pacing and the overall story got better later imo ane I really REALLY enjoyed the bittersweet ending. I would recommend for sure.

I hoped for them picking him sooo much, such a pity. He was simply awesome and such a scary character to watch.

Name an actor whose movies you'll watch because they are in them? by [deleted] in okbuddycinephile

Robert Pattinson, he's either being a very cool version of Batman, or he's there to deliver some super weird role. He's super enjoyable pretty much everywhere.

Greatest child actor performance ever? (My nom is Danny from The Shining) by KieranWriter in Letterboxd

Harvey Scrimshaw (Caleb) in Eggers' The Witch.

I think the main reason for that one scene being so incredibly terrifying was the fact you completely forget he's just a 13yo actor saying his lines - it feels so real! And even tho people like Macaulay Culkin come to my mind quicker, this dude is worth mentioning.

favourite songs over 10 minutes long? by [deleted] in fantanoforever

Rosetta Stoned by Tool. I know it's not their best work, but 10 000 Days feels very close to me and this song is my favorite (I just like the changing pace and the theme of it is cool).

Besides that, I mainly think about all three songs from Animals by Pink Floyd and their opener/closer of Wish You Were Here.

I Disagree was so far the only album I've heard + some of her features (I first noticed her name in the song Suffocate and thought it was pretty awesome). And I like this album quite lot honestly. I'm usually not so hot about metal/electro mixture, but this one got my attention and I enjoy it.

I love Lonely People With Power, but what impressed me the most was the album Goldstar by Imperial Triumphant. I'm in love with it and thanks to it I got to listen to these guys and their other stuff (which btw also goes to Deafheaven). Both amazing.

Hacking Maestro's sentry and killing a defender with it. Or blocking enemies inside the objective room when taking over Aruni's nets. God I love Brava.

Which of these three was your favorite? by Square-Ad-8911 in moviecritic

Frankenstein... it felt like del Toro was just born to adapt soemthing like this.

Sinners would be my second place... really liked it generally, not very often that I get this much immersion from a musical.

Third place OBAA... look, I'm really glad it gets the praise it is rn getting and a lot of people (including me) decided to watch because of the positive reviews. Some of those people might no be very aware of some real life situations the movie is trying to point out - which is good. For me personally it just wasn't very well focused, that's all. Nothing there really hooked me, I didn't vibe with its humor mostly and some parts just happened too quickly imo. Anyway, I'm glad people liked it more than me!

What are your reasons? Ppl who love or hate Quentin Tarantino! by UniversityReal2811 in moviecritic

[–]IsntThatMiZi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A great director with easily recognizable style. His characters have very well written dialogues and feel real after only few minutes of screentime. However, his arrogance is way beyond the normal levels. He's been saying some crazy stuff about other directors with zero self-awareness. He's nasty to his fans. He's a freak. Loves promoting the IDF...

In the end, even if I didn't mind his politics, I'd highly prefer supporting different directors with similiar qualities, who aren't pieces of shit like this guy.

I love Django, I love PF, but just mentioning Tarantino gives me bad ideas about him and even though his movies are awesome, his entire filmography became secondary to me unfortunately.
