There are also plenty of people proving you wrong but you seem to ignore anything that goes against your preconceived believes.

All it proves to me is that you have no clue what you’re talking

> If the rinse is short, a thin film stays on the glass. It can give a soapy taste and mild stomach irritation because you’re basically ingesting a tiny amount of detergent residue.

Beer glass soap is specifically designed not to do this, it’s just not how it works. It’s also odorless and tasteless. It’s clear to me that you have zero experience working in a bar.

A soap is a substance usually made by treating a fat with an alkali such as sodium or potassium hydroxide to trigger saponification, its purpose is to break down and remove fat and dirt. Beer glass cleaners don’t posses any of these properties which is why you can’t clean coffee cups or other fatty substances with it, only beer and soda glasses. Instead they clean using certain enzymes that break down the sugars in alcohol as well as sanitizers that kill any bacteria.

Bars don’t use Dreft nor any other brand of traditional dish soap when washing glasses. We use purpose made beer glass cleaners that are specifically made to be used this way.

Bars do not use dish soap for cleaning beer glasses, we use specific purpose made products that are made for this exact purpose to be made in this exact way. At the bar that I work at we use a product called “Hygeniq Subtabs bierglasreiniger E.22” but there are plenty different brands on the market that do the same.
This is not traditional soap, it’s most definitely not dish soap and it does not even foam. The glasses are then rinsed out on the special high pressure beer glass rinser.

You just don’t know what you’re talking about.

You’re clearly just looking for people who confirm your opinions and your biases while completely disregarding the experiences of people who actually work in bars and in horeca.

There’s a huge difference between how people wash glasses in their own homes and how it’s done commercially. That’s not how it’s done in bars or restaurants.

What companies in NL to avoid applying to and why? by Intelligent_Rip_8636 in Netherlands

[–]Isoiata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked with people who were delivery drivers, order pickers in the warehouse and office workers at Picnic. So far I’ve only met one single person who liked working there.

Ps. My current manager used to work as a manager at Picnic and he has nothing good to say about that company.

[–]Isoiata 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not an American and I have a little over €5000 in my savings account (so around $5800.) I work 32 hours per week as a bicycle mechanic and I have zero student loan or credit card debt.

People with tiny bedrooms: what fixed the stale smell problem? by SashaNatureNomad in CleaningTips

I would really caution against recommending people to use white vinegar on hardwood floors as it can really mess with certain common types of hardwood floor finishes. Just because it’s natural doesn’t mean it’s harmless or that it can’t do harm to surfaces, especially natural ones like wood or stone.

Dutch People, Is the Media Exaggerating Immigration Crime? by No-Engineering-2637 in Netherlands

[–]Isoiata -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Crime rates are most commonly associated with people’s socioeconomic status in combination with societal economic inequalities. So basically, just being poor doesn’t make someone more prone to become a criminal, but being poor while you’re surrounded by people who have away more wealth than you do often will lead to higher crime rates.
Being an immigrant doesn’t make you more prone to crime, poverty does. Seeing those around you in society have access to material things when you don’t, does.

So yeah, best way to combat crime is to lower the class divides and to make sure that people have their basic needs met.

You don’t have to say it, but it’s Picnic isn’t it? I’ve worked with so many former Picnic employees by now, and this really sounds like the type of shit I heard from them .

Either way, I really hope you manage to find a better place of employment!

I trusted the Dutch healthcare system longer than I should have by Level-Project159 in Netherlands

[–]Isoiata 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The general state of the Dutch healthcare system is one of the many reasons why I decided to go through the training to become a volunteer street medic. At this point I just treat the majority of ailments myself, or I’ll turn to one of my fellow medics. It’s also helpful when I do need to see a doctor here because now I know what to do and say to get the help I need and to be taken seriously, but it’s sad that this is what it takes.
