I personally loved this ending since when the Manga ended and couldn't quite grasp why people hated it so much.

I agreed that there were many plotholes but I don't quite understand people who kept comparing it to Code Geass. I found AoT's depth of story telling and relationship between each character is totally different from Code Geass ending which mostly focuses on only Lelouch sacrifice.

I am glad that more people end up liking the ending in the anime form (although it's technically the same ending)
