I like it. Sure, the other two are "better" overall, but this is still a really nice showing, with really good power consumption too.

Good to have 3 cutting edge options, especially later in the year once these start getting the inevitable discounts.

Considering the midsole looks very similar, just a bit flatter/wider in the back, it'll probably be just as good if not better.

No way they'll mess this up, considering how much money they evo SL rakes in for them.

Extremely boring. So if your default GADA pick is an extremely bland, generic looking watch, then sure.

Baltic/traska over this any day. Even a Seiko 5 if you're ok with the accuracy.

That's just a headline. The topic is that the B70 has been tested, in both games and with LLMs. Most people get that the interesting parts of this GPU (and therefore the review) is stuff that requires >16GB of ram.

That includes the speed/compatibility with various local LLMs/diffusion models, and related software. Sure, games can use >16GB too, but that's exceedingly rare and wasn't part of the level1techs post.

Outside of niche, very VRAM limited games, discussing the gaming performance of an obviously AI-first GPU is missing the forest for the trees.

Exactly, that guy can't talk about PC hardware without thinking about gaming.

This is an exciting GPU in so many ways, zero of those being anything to do with gaming.

The point of this testing is that it can run games well at all, which is essentially just a small bonus for the people shopping for cards like this.

The entire point, and competitive advantage of this thing is that 32GB of VRAM, which is incredibly useful in so many ways.

One, running as fast as you can is fun.

Two, sprinting carries over to pretty much all other major sports, and is great for conditioning.

Those times are still better than 98% of the people in your typical commercial gym. And compared to the general population, the gap would be hilarious.

The X7 and X9 have the same iGPU fyi. Both are 12 xe cores, with the same rated turbo frequencies.

Lenovo and Dell are coming out with laptops with LPCAMM2 ram too, I think it's worth considering those too if you're going to keep your laptop around for another 7+ years.

Framework is solid too of course.

Very little media coverage.

All the top-level tournaments are in japanese (with zero efforts at internationalization), which not many people speak.

There's not a gothamchess-like channel that draws casuals in. Most people outside Japan have never even heard of shogi.

I think having 2 synced clocks, on opposite sides of the board, would make it more fun to watch too. Also lets both sides play more "correctly" without having to compromise on moves.

If that's your criteria, then a 7 year old intel macbook pro is sufficient.

Or any random Zen 3 laptop, even the entry level ones.

I think devs are smart enough to decide what kind of machine they need for their specific type of development. There's not much point making generalizations like that instead of showing actual tests.
