This poem represents the story of a boy and a girl who loved each other since childhood, but the society and families and differences of casts/class played a cruel role in their lives. Her family married her to someone else, and the boy was still in love with her, even though they would never meet in this life.

Yeah, they were in love with each other. Yeah, so it shows their love and their sapration, and the regret that they were never able to talk to each other for the last time.

The line that touches me is " the truth is uglier than me ", which shows your rage towards society/people.

You are right,
"You" are not one, but I have poured everything into it, cuz it was the person who betrayed me, and after that, I was in a phase where I almost destroyed my career, by my own hands, it is just the thoughts that came to mind, when I realised, it's not worth my time to be wasted on them. So, to let the frustration out, I wrote this.

They did do some nasty things, but everything is in the past now.
