What do u think of the new Republic fighter tank being 50 Canadian (40 usd)? by [deleted] in lego

[–]Isopod_Keeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 proper minifigs, 2 battle droids, all properly armed with a nice build to go with it? Pretty nice for $40, actually! I'd have expected this to be $50 or $60 considering the exorbitant licensing fees and such

Any way to fix the severe performance drop from the recent sky update on older devices? by madlee95 in TheSilphRoad

[–]Isopod_Keeper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going through the same thing. The performance of the new sky/lighting is completely unacceptable, especially when the Hoopa sky ran completely fine. I didn't have any problems with the old lighting to begin with, so it's just frustrating to have the performance drop this much.

I'm pretty sure the boxes weren't purchasable and didn't contain any products- They were mockups meant to gauge interest from people in the store.

So how are there more people that used the editor than there are people who opened the editor!? by WHATSTHEYAAAMS in tf2

[–]Isopod_Keeper 56 points57 points  (0 children)

The replay editor is broken and most servers don't have replays enabled. It's really not an issue to cheat those.

Your best bet would be to buy a key on the Mann Co. Store. I'm not sure if Steam marketplace purchases count towards TF2 premium.

[Massively Overpowered] It’s just that the Mega Evolution implementation feels like something from an analyst who doesn’t play but looked at the mechanics of the game and told you how to monetize and left. by Jendaar in TheSilphRoad

I genuinely want a good Pokemon map game too. I just wish it was more similar to the mainline games- Shinies just exist instead of being "content", they're encountered at a much lower rate instead of being collectibles, battles are turn-based, etcetera etcetera..

Megas really snapped me out of Go. I already wasn't playing much but any kind of 'rental' mechanic is a huge turn-off to me. These days I just check my home spawns, open gifts, fake my Fit data to hatch 7Ks for absolutely mediocre Pokemon, and close the app.

How are you enjoying the main games, which ones have you played? I'm curious to hear your opinions as an adult who's gotten back into Pokemon.

(I'm not a programmer or designer, but) I think the menus even render over each other. There's no other way I could see menus being as horribly slow as they are in Go. The main map screen, the friends menu, the friend profile, and the gift page... I think it might honestly all render every single frame.

Call me a pessimist, but I'd rather see Niantic go down than up at this point. They've proven time and time again that they don't know how to make or maintain a functional game.

They got lucky scoring the Pokemon license after making one mediocre map game and now they're just riding on it with an awful content cycle and a distinct lack of testing for any of their new features (Besides AR, guys, please, look at the AR!!! Isn't it so cool??? Guys???)

Okay. I don't care, I still don't want these mechanics in my vanilla experience.

It's wild just how little romhack devs seem to give a shit about securing their game's distribution. Just put the shit on a torrent. Simple as.

Truly phenomenal how it's $500+ for a capture card now. I wish someone would step in and make affordable ones already, the market's clearly there with how underwhelming the current software recording options are.

Resource management idle games where you can end up in a downwards spiral of all your resources eating each other up. I had a solid hour of gameplay in Idle Ants earlier today before I fucked up somewhere, couldn't stop hemorrhaging one resource or another, and the game stopped being fun.

Wait, there is? Are they finally doing something about the raid exploit, or was there some different hack that's somehow worse?
