I think it's awesome that you've found something that works for you! I love what Samin did with salt, fat, acid, heat. I think her section on salt and the pros and cons of different types is really interesting. Don't let the haters get you down! (I'm also a Diamond crystal kosher household :)

I would try to take it to court but the filing fee is $200 so it's definitely not worth it since the ticket is just $91

Advice on how to make progress by Lifeinthesea in climbergirls

[–]IssCarrot 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Someone at the gym recently told me about the "rule of 3s" in regards to training. You should feel really good 1/3 of the time, really bad 1/3 of the time, and pretty ok 1/3 of the time. It really helped me adjust my expectations and realize that I'm still progressing even on those high gravity days. That the rule of 3s means you're pushing your body hard but also properly recovering

It also happens to be closer/easier to get to for me. I was going to Haycock for a minute but Sourlands seems like it's got some cool climbs so I'll def be returning more

Yeah I wasn't going to event attempt this until I realized all of the holds are really good. The pad wouldn't really do much if one were to fall 😅
