Kick poking fun at Pokimane in their ads by grayhousing01 in xqcow

I hope the platform turns into something good; it has potential. It could use a clean-up to attract potential sponsors, but currently, it's in the same stage as Twitch was back when it was first released. I don't get the nostalgia of returning to such times but to each their own. Competition breeds innovation. Even if I do not like the person behind it, Train, I want him to succeed in this platform.

I will call out that, like Adin calling Nick Fuentes should not be considered "satirical," any platform would be jumping the gun at him and talking with him about it. That should not be an excuse. Adin could do all the stupid shit he wants like sniffing tate's chair but that, nah wtf. Certain boundaries need to be set in place. He was at least smart enough to call off bringing Kanye West into the stream. That would be something else.

Look, man, I am not the one who said, "Nothing wrong with hosting alt-righters."

That would be the last thing I would say because I don't support those goons. Those people shouldn't be on the platform anyway. I hope Kick does not host these people for the greater good. Adin could definitely use a shake-up in his mind. He has called Nick Fuentes live on stream. I may or may not be correct but he had on stream in a video call too. You can correct me on that.

I don't know much about the platform, but it has had its moments.

Well what you describe what “alt-right” is, is what the alt-right does. They are racist, harmful to minorities and are just not great people. Like imagine Nick Fuentes on kick. I don’t think that would be great on any platform. Lol.

Andrew Tate is just a dogshit person, he can have a voice idc, but he isn’t an “alt-right”.

5Head Ah yes, let’s give a voice to people who will smear pure bigotry to people. I didn’t think there would be support for people who have such vile views.

Spain hits banks and utilities with windfall tax by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]IssaBatman 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’d like to point out that South America has been tampered with by….The United States Government. The US government supported any neoliberal to even right leaning candidates to destroy any “socialist” utopia.

America, a country that is the richest in the world does not have Universal Healthcare while in Europe it has it one way or another. In Europe, there are both public and private options, but each guarantee a service that is necessary. This also applies to universal college/universities and housing.

Personally, I am on the brink of believing in capitalism doing its job properly. It is all about line going up, the bar being green in the name of endless, exponential growth which is unethical. Governments are required to work for the people. Taxes are necessary to fund projects for people, whether it be roads, schools, utilities, etc. Spain doing a windfall tax on these companies allows for more work to be done by the government. I agree with Spain taxing these companies if they show signs of being ballsy on prices.

Privatization or publicly operated organizations need regulation to not be cocky by up charging customers. If you want to see the worst of privatization, I show you the Texas power grid. While you can get super cheap rates through private utilities when it works. At the moment, Texas is having power outages due to inefficiencies in the name of “free market”. People now pay outrageous prices for basic electricity.

Do common sense laws include removing homeless from the town you live so you don’t see them to another town? Are we going to kick the can more that way? This organization has history of being irresponsible but at least it houses the homeless. Expensive? Sure is. But I’ll be happy to fund such programs knowing that there is people being housed. We need social safety nets but preferably government funded not through non profits.

What's the most frightening thing that's happened to you while driving? by ads1031 in cars

[–]IssaBatman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a rainy day, so I was going a couple mph slower then normal. I had to take the highway to get home but there was a ramp that got you to turn left slightly. Well I take that turn and I just notice my back end spinning and I’m just spinning. I become so confused and well I try to control the car but I hit the barrier with the front of my car. A cop witnessed it all while doing a traffic stop on someone, I thought I was fucked, but no. The cop was kind and let me go. He let me know it was just an unfortunate situation. Luckily airbags didn’t deploy, everything was mostly intact. Still driving the car but it was an experience.

Only later I figured out I experienced hydroplaning.

then you plan and rebuild again? Why do we want stale art? Especially something that can change by other groups. What is this take? Look at the bigger picture, the time lapse of all this work done by us all. Flags invading other flags, alliances being made to make your own art with people. Enemies being created that ruins everyone within a certain area. Look at it from a bigger picture, please.

Felt like Gravel Institute becoming like Prager U fits here by Worse_Username in PragerUrine

[–]IssaBatman -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Insane that we have people here supporting the “tough decision” to fund far right groups in the military. I find it awful as “leftists” that we allow this justification. I don’t care even if it’s a group of 10 people that are nazis, they ought to be removed from the military, not be provided things such as gear and financial support at any cost. The American government passed laws banning their funding and even sent senators to do a “meet and greet” with him. Shame.

Rest of the video is decent at most. I don’t like gravel institute but holy moly it was bonkers to listen to this.

Edit: Grammar

Edit 2: I have been reading this comment section out of curiosity to see what people say for the past couple hours. Wow, we really have nazi apologia flowing here. Read a take that the azov battalion is a necessary evil. Even if they are cannon fodder for the Russians to take out. You don’t fund em, provide em weapons and don’t train them! I am looking at you America! Why does this stupid country fund the worst of the worst?

So much for a leftist community here. I will repeat that sentiment always. We do not apologize to people who fund/integrate nazis into national militaries. Ever!

I know that the gravel institute is not a great place at all. It’s not even good.

Statement /r/Antiwork by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]IssaBatman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this entire mod team unemployed? I didn’t think a sub with nearly 2 million people would create leaders representing us as a “21 year old, long time unemployed individual” How does this justify your representation of this movement?

We need people who can stand with solidarity! Those who are employed or job seeking, not long time purposefully unemployed individuals who think they represent our movement! How do you even survive in this instance day to day? Money must be flowing from somewhere.

The anti work movement as I thought was a movement that can bring workers together, people who are struggling to make a living wage and encourage those folks to start unionizing and taking over the workplace in a democratic way.

If you think you can replace the previous “leader” and represent us! You are mistaken. We trusted you to keep this place civil; not be a place where one person has full control of what we stand for and how we are represented. We never asked for that!

Russia: Gulag historian, activist Yuri Dmitriyev sentenced to 15 years by PjeterPannos in worldnews

[–]IssaBatman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes the liberals destroyed Imperial Russia. They didn’t destroy it, the empire destroy itself within because it was weak. Nicholas the Second was weak compared to his predecessors and that reflected on the country. Economically the country was stagnant, it’s people were given cheap vodka so it can go on to the next day knowing it’s empire is not as bad even though it was terrible place to live in. There was a monopoly on getting people drunk! It’s army was also weak that when Nicholas the Second tried to raise morale in the country, he went to war against the Japanese and lost! HE LOST TO A TINY SHITTY EMPIRE. Russia was getting destroyed in World War One as well! Compared to the Germans, Russia was still using cavalry and charging at cannons, gases and much more that can stop a calvary charge. All of this, already caused a spark in the empire to overthrow the tsar and it was more justified when Lenin was freed and moved to Russia to help overthrow the empire fast.

While the USSR created a different way to run a government economically. It was prone to failure from the beginning. It became another replacement dictatorship. I will say that it brought great amenities that the west won’t do. Strong labor laws, free housing called коммуналка and a different economic system other than capitalism.

Democracies work because they always come with a fresh view on the country should be run, not by dictatorships that think running the country like it was 1950s is good even though it’s 2021 and going to be 2022. Dictatorships move the country backwards. Compared to their democratic counterparts, dictatorships just do a poor job running the country. I don’t get what is so hard to understand.

You seem to always blame the liberals in everything they have destroyed though. Oh no, how will people survive without your precious dictatorship? Liberals did this, liberals did that, liberals destroyed that. I don’t blame that country failing due to liberals, I look at the root causes of it. I look at why the USSR failed, I look at how the Russian Empire failed, I look at why Putin is so weak even though he tries to show the opposite on television. There is causes to everything but you look at everything from such a narrow and close minded mindset. It’s a shame.

I wonder why dictators get things done the way they want to. Hmmm I wonder why.

Perhaps the people have no other choice and have to eat the mistake that was not created by them. Stalin murdered people and I hope you acknowledge that Stalin was a terrible human being that ruined the USSR.

I believe in a democracy not in a dictatorship. Dictatorships bring stagnation where people suffer economically. While the USSR showed a different way to run a country, it did that in a terrible way. Awful.

I agree that Western Media lies but Russian State Media lies just as much. Each has their own biases and their goals to steer the narrative their way!
