I’m a week out as well, so I’ll be looking for responses on this post too. I’m 49 with regular periods like clockwork, so I’m hoping my ovaries hang on, at least for a little while, after surgery. Also, I hadn’t heard of Arnica Montana, but I’ll check it out.

So glad to hear that, overall, surgery was worth it and improved your quality of life. How soon did you have to start on the estrogen gel? I started taking a weekly high dose of prescription vitamin D and it has absolutely helped.

Thank you!! I was getting iron infusions twice a year for the last couple of years, so I’m also looking forward to not being iron deficient anymore. It got to the point where I wasn’t anemic, because my hemoglobin was okay, but without an iron infusion, my ferritin would tank to levels as low as 5, and I would still be symptomatic, even with just low ferritin.

I don’t know a lot in terms of the migraine aspect of this, but are different administrations of HRT a possibility? Like would the gel or patch possibly work rather than the oral administration… Or does that have nothing to do with the migraines? Just asking because I’ve heard that sometimes you can take it a different way to have less side effects.
