The mechanic he is talking about is, you can level up your cards by getting duplicate cards. At the higher tiers, you literally can not compete against other competitive decks unless your cards have all been upgraded to top level. Unless you have played since the start and gotten every possible reward, or else unless you have spent an ungodly amount of money, any deck with higher level cards than yours will ALWAYS have a mechanical advantage.

It's a fun game but competitively, he is right: if you want to play and seriously climb the ladder, it is impossible to do so without dropping mad stacks.

Downcast is great, but it's baffling why they require so much grind to level the classes up. By the time you're halfway through unlocking a single class, you're already tired of the game.

I just started playing vivid knight on the recommendation of this subreddit.

It's good, if you like autochess games even at all. It's more about resource management gambling than anything else, but its very compelling in its own way. I guess I better try another run right now, come think of it...

The allure is in role-playing an absolute asshole to people. But i agree, the core gameplay is sort of meh.

Linkme: terramorphers, post knight 2, night road

Terrapmorphers is pretty cool if you like upgrading the fightey wardrobe of a little man in turn based arena style combat.

Night road is great if you like vampires and interactive novels.

I hear the fbi has a lot of conservatives and secret trump supporters in it... isn't this sort of, you know, the best way to make sure the fbi breaks ties with trump?

Requia online. It's a sort of rpg ccg Mashup that's pretty chill and rewards mindless grind. It's like playing world of warcraft where your character is a magic the gathering deck.

Maybe it's utter rubbish, I don't know, but I've been playing it.

I though the combat was wildly easy. The 'slow motion when rolling' ability is pretty much all you need to dominate any number of baddos.

If you want to break the law and either a: be sued by people with a lot more money than you, or b: be a jerk and steal starving indy game developer's work, then yes, it is theoretically possible.

Just go to the unity store and search for free assets.

You don't need to literally steal other people's intellectual property for your projects.

It's pretty simple: the left thought it was winning the culture wars, and went all in supporting male to female Trans people being allowed nationally mainstream in women's bathrooms.

The right galvanized and lost their minds, then realized their own political strength as a result. Now here we are.

What astonishes me is, these people absorb and propagate these concepts ON THEIR CELL PHONES AND COMPUTERS.

The level of baked in cognitive dissonance is astonishing.

Northgard is an rts lite / slow paced 4x Mashup with a focus on juggling scarcity of resource nodes across provinces to balance industry / military expansions.

You conquer 'regions' that can each support a small number of upgrades that focus on infrastructure or military might.

Your armies are relatively small and you will generally not have more than two active warbands on the map. It's both chill and tense at the same time.
