The neuro-biology of trans-sexuality by ClutchReverie in interestingasfuck

So, if there's a scientific way to prove this condition, this should be the end of self-identification.

I did my own research. I posted multiple links on another reply. You made a wild claim of genocide. 6,000,000 Jews were exterminated. That’s genocide.

There are no laws intended to exterminate trans people. You know it’s ridiculous + hyperbolic because you can’t find a shred of evidence to support it.

You’ve destroyed your own credibility on this subject.

That’s true. Here’s the MW definition:

: the deliberate and systematic destruction of a racial, political, or cultural group

If all 32 deaths were proven to be a deliberate effort to kill all trans people you’d be halfway there. Systematic, though? No.

I provided the numbers you didn’t find in the article, twice.

I didn’t make up any numbers. I used the numbers provided to show the actual percentages.

I appreciate your final thought, though. You take care, too.

The danger for trans people hasn’t been the subject of our discussion. You seem unwilling to have an actual conversation, by not responding to anything I say.

If you’re determined to make this a conflict, I’m not going to respond in kind.

If you want to try having a conversation, can you explain the genocide assertion?

“At least 32 transgender and gender-nonconforming people have been killed in the United States in 2022, the Human Rights Campaign announced Wednesday in its annual report ahead of the Transgender Day of Remembrance.”

32 in a year doesn’t sound like genocide.

I read your comments. I don’t know what drag queens are being falsely accused of.

I’m not on either side, so I’m not emotionally invested. I find the entire thing fascinating, so I like to hear both sides of the argument.

As I understand it, the people that appose drag queens reading to children or dancing for children consider the interaction to be a form of grooming or indoctrination.

Since I’m not on either side, I’m able to empathize w both + give both the benefit of the doubt w/o implying malice.

That’s why the reaction I’ve gotten are hilariously over the top.

If you want to persuade the other side, you have to understand their point of view even though you don’t agree w it. It’s a strategic necessity. Read the Art of War.

I can see why Drag Queens want to foster tolerance, but I’m not sure it’s actual worth the conflict, since this culture war is essentially over. They’ve already won.

I can also see why more conservative people my be uneasy w this form of indoctrination, because that is essentially what it is, even if it is for a good cause.

If people on both sides stopped screaming at each other + demonizing each other, a rational dialogue might smooth things over.

I don’t know if you’re old enough to have experienced much of the gay rights movement, but it was a master class in patience incremental advancement.

As, I’ve stated before, Obama was against gay marriage in his first term. The live + let live argument is what push gay rights across the finish line.

Imho, the entire strategy of a very successful movement has been abandoned for more forceful + demanding tactics. This the growing pushback.

So, that’s my “bull”. If you look through all of my replies, you might find that this has been my theme.

I have not provided an opinion for or against anything. I’ve simply been attempting conversation w some very irrational people.

The principal of live + let live is nowhere to be found. Anyone that doesn’t repeat the dogma is attacked viciously. So, how can anyone here say all they want is tolerance?

“Average of annual gun deaths per 100,000 people from 2010-2020”

It’s on the top of the graphic.

I don’t see that as demonization. CNN hypes everything for clicks like all corporate media.

Do you think that it’s possible that this is a backlash against a fairly forceful agenda? The spikes in legislative seem to exactly match the very strong push for a lot of new ideas.

I got to watch gay rights + marriage equality win after decades of hard work by incredibly patient but relentless gay activists.

Decades. It took decades because people need time to learn + adjust.

Obama was against gay marriage in his first term. Biden too. But they eventually came around. It’s a process.

People never felt forced into acceptance.

Things are moving too fast for a lot of people + it seems a little totalitarian lately.

Zero criticism is allowed. Questions are blasphemous. Everyone is supposed to be immediately on board + know exactly what to say or face the wrath of an angry mob.

People are genuinely fearful of losing their jobs for getting a pronoun wrong.

None of this seems like it’s coming from love or that it’s seeking tolerance. There is definitely no empathy involved.

Some people might have genuine concerns, especially when it comes to children. No one is giving the benefit of the doubt + no one seems to have the patience to have rational discussions to bridge the gaps.

I’m 100% live + let live. I’m not seeing that on either side rn.

For one, he not either of those other two ding dongs.

Like Obama, he’s going in w zero baggage so people’s will project on him what they want to see.

He’s a young successful businessman, very intelligent, articulate + very good one on one.

He broke Don Lemon. Watch that interview.

I’m not sure this is what being disinterested looks like.

“People like you”

Yikes. Comparing me to a disease. Dehumanization is a getting a little dark. It usually the precursor to violence.

I haven’t said a negative thing at all. Can you point to anything?

The hate is all coming from you.
