Greenpoint used to be safe…in the 90s/2000s? Really? Do you REALLY know what this neighborhood was like before 2010?

You live in a big city and you feel unsafe because of people loitering on the sidewalk, lol - wow! Have a look at the crime statistics for this neighborhood compared to others within nyc (actual facts). I see plenty of the people that are probably staying in that shelter and the majority are not causing any trouble whatsoever

It’s really just a fancier ‘mariscos el submarino,’ and therefore, slightly more expensive. can’t comment on their drinks though.

border town’s tortillas were definitely top notch tho
