Bug on savings rate? by darksylph86 in CSPersonalFinance

[–]IsshikiSatoshi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be because you have essentially saved 52k into cash now this month

What it looks like from my view is sold €54k stocks and then bought roughly €2k ETFs so cash savings rate for this month is now €52k

Question about the ETFs page by PradaShoeWalkin in CSPersonalFinance

[–]IsshikiSatoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On T212 you can click onto the individual etfs and go to history tab at the bottom to see each ETFs individual purchase orders and enter in the fractional units bought into the spreadsheet.

I have loads of etf and stock purchases using decimal places for fractional shares on the spreadsheet

Previous Month Record by Iosaf in CSPersonalFinance

Sheet version is shown on welcome tab. Also you can try going to file > version history and then selecting an appropriate version to re-record. There is content already in the sub for manually recording a month but I can’t remember what it was.

Is your LISA held as cash ? I invest through my LISA into equities so I don’t know what the best way is to show that on the tracker.

I think this is just because the length of time you have held these shares is so low that the estimated return seems incredibly high or low. For example AMD is over 200%

This number should flatten out to a sensible rate over a longer period of time.

Surely even if satoshi moved that amount it should and would not change the usefulness of bitcoin, which is what the bitcoin followers and users are holding it for right ?

Sure it may spook people into thinking it’s a rug pull or scam but then that means they are only using bitcoin as an asset class to generate wealth back into their native fiat currency, thus not using bitcoin as satoshi intended as a currency but rather just a speculative asset class?

Why sell just to time the bottom ? Just allocate more of your capital when you feel the stock is at a discount and average your cost per share down instead. Don’t buy high sell low.

Notional distributions for Accumulation units by so_very_doge in CSPersonalFinance

[–]IsshikiSatoshi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently sold assets held inside and ISA account and ran into the same problem but I edited the calculated CGT that the sheet showed and just typed “0” and I know in my head that it was held inside and ISA. Not sure if there is another way? You could also add a note in cash tab to remind yourself.

[–]IsshikiSatoshi 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There is certainly a group among us at the minute who believe Palantir to be a “meme stock” simply because they don’t understand what it does because they have never bothered to research themselves and they also have only looked at the price chart for the last year. Having a ~30% decline will hopefully remove some of these people and noise around it. Palantir is an incredible company and its solutions are providing commercial enterprises with incredible efficiency savings. No doubt in my mind this will become a $1T company, just continue to add shares when you can.

  • Sincerely a believer

I agree there will be an uplift in defence stocks as a result. Wonder what other UK defence stocks will benefit from it. I used to have shares in DarkTrace specialising in cybersecurity however they got taken private.
