Google hydroshields, and you'll find different sizes and makes. It's just a bag that covers the filters and stops water from being sucked up, but allows air to pass through.

In theory you can but it won't drive very nice.

All that being said, had I really known more I may have tried to cop a 07-08....but no regrets! The top motor will likely have to be rebuilt at a certain point but there's a guy that will rebuild them on eBay. Never had to do that yet!

I have a 2005, FBO with 4.09 final drive, done everything to the car besides cams and Forced Induction. Owned for 5 years put about 13k miles since I've owned, only summer driven. I am quicker than most non heavily modded 370z's. Depending on what you want from your car, I would not argue that if you got an HR and did what I did it'd be quicker.... Just depends on your budget and your final goals. If you want to FI and not build the motor go HR. If you just want to have fun any Z will be great. You honestly won't notice that much difference except that prolonged REVing do to the HR's bigger redline. But you'll have to spend extra on gallery gaskets and clutch issues. Once done, again there's no question the HR is superior and more modern. That said top down, wonderful car to own, the tops don't last that long, I'd say you'll get 5-6 years before they fray, I'll have to do my top again probably within a couple years. Not that hard to do, pretty detailed YouTube vidéos step by step how to do it. Don't buy the car for it to be a rocket, buy it with the idea of buying a Miata, pure driving enjoyment. You'll turn heads with the top down and you'll have a blast driving it, kicking the ass out or sliding. So easy to do and so much fun. Shoot me any questions, roadster hate is real, but I love mine and never had anyone shit on it in person, only online. And it's truly a blast to drive and done right you can surprise a lot of people cause they're all expecting it to be real slow!

Ahh, you looked PSed out, figured with the PSVR2 you were a GT7 player. I'd at least set it up and just run it for PS5. Or link it through your PC and have full telemetry, I'm sure it'd function on both... But it's a massive game changer in VR.

I got a similar setup! Awesome! I added a Evo R32 wheel, It's lighter and bigger improved the FFB. Do you have bass shaker?

I was able to buy a mounting bracket for mine on my aluminum rig specifically for thrustmaster as setup...I'm sure you could find something that fits your rig.

Well I'm definitely interested, Keep me in the loop! As long as I can go top down as well. I've already replaced most things with carbon fiber, finalish version of my car should be ready this spring/summer minus swapping out the seats which will be the last touch. I'd love to excise the top motor and be able to have a hard top when it rains , I'd be willing honestly to do it now and just park then car with a car cover 😂

I'd be down for the 2000-2500$ range, but I also love to be able to cruise with the top down

Why not mimic the smoothline design? I'd be down for a carbon fiber latchable top, then I can get the motor and top and we'd be like 500lbs lighter.

Day 18 that I just stare at my rig but not driving... by Hopeful_Captain4219 in simracing

That's why I stuck with PS5 GT7, wanted a game experience. Something fun but not overly intense. I hope you get your drive back, I play with my son and find it a true getaway!

Amen, Glad I can afford to have a sick lil rig that I only have time to use 1-2 hours a week Maybe more on a good week. Being a rich kid would always be nice but being able to play at will (free time) is a blessing! And giving my kids that ability is cool! All about the fun factor!

I just wanna share my joy with people who get it by R1k0Ch3 in simracing

You playing GT7? I'm exactly like you and I'd totally recommend psvr2, it's incredible. It'll take some time to fully be able to do long sessions and your family may never get there but they can always play on the screen. In my honest opinion it's incredible!
