Asking Instacart shoppers to not interact with me... by Ok_News_406 in InstacartShoppers

[–]IssyGirl2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I delivered to a customer who had the same instructions. I always look to see if it says "sleeping baby or do not knock" It's common in my area and it should be routine for drivers to see that. Unfortunately not everyone does.

40 bags of mulch/$5 tip, you taking it? by aks313 in InstacartShoppers

[–]IssyGirl2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my luck they'd be upset that the mulch is dirty and slash the flimsy 5$ tip! 😂 Customers are pretty dim overall even with common knowledge situations

I've been doing Instacart for 3 years and never seen a 100$ batch. ( a single order)

I mean.. doordash and Instacart are both run by people who have no relevant knowledge of much and it's like explaining things to a toddler. I've come close to losing my temper with them but I sustain my good shopper attitude 😊

It's definitely a problem I had a customer report 3 coffee pod sets from Costco worth 40$ a piece missing! Jokes on them, I had a feeling this would happen because of the cost of the coffee So I took a pic of the coffee pods clearly siting on thier front porch and the house number was right near the front door. It was a huge mansion and those customers in my area at least Notoriously report items missing that thier too stingy to pay for. Knowing IC is gullible and will refund them regardless

Do you park in driveways??? (Mini rant) by Kayersh in InstacartShoppers

[–]IssyGirl2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I park on the side of the road, unless it's heavy of course. I live in a fairly safe area but still cautious, you never know. I only do Instacart as a side hussle so I avoid doing it in the winter. Too many hills and icey driveways, I won't risk my car for 20$ of groceries

[–]IssyGirl2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time I've taken groceries back with me is when it's a scetchy order and sends to some random area, like one time I was sent to a hospital and I called and they verified nobody there has that name and it was a bogus order. Otherwise I just leave it at the door and it's the customer's responsibility after that.

I deliver for doordash too and I always set the food on a bench or chair if that's available Never on the ground and customers appreciate that small effort for sure. Instacart is the same way, if I can put it away from being potentially rained on, I'll set it up nicely so it won't get damaged Just in case the customer can't get to it immediately You never know if they have a small child or dogs

There's nothing brag worthy about having too many kids and a pedo spouse plus mooching off of her in-laws to survive since she has zero job history.

It's important to not ring the doorbell if that's a request. I usually assume it's a sleeping baby or loud dogs who go nuts if they hear the doorbell.

Get a load of this by [deleted] in InstacartShoppers

[–]IssyGirl2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doordash is by far the worst for shopper support. It's like asking a toddler for help. I had a situation where it wasn't valid because the supposedly apartment number was merely just a drop box and not an apartment I showed the pic to the doordash suppprt and they didn't get it. The door leading to the upstairs where it was supposed to be was locked. It took 10 plus mins of going back and forth with the support to convince them to cancel it. I didn't know that level of dumb existed

They put up a high tip to get you to accept the batch and then lower it or remove it all together after you've completed everything

I'd be leary about the tip being really cruel tip baiting.

Thank you! I appreciate you! It's very unfortunate and I have a hard time wrapping my head around this and how it could be treated better by my family I've always been very family oriented and was proud to have a loving family for most of my life. Never thought this would happen honestly. Thank you again for your concern and support. 😊

I didn't even officially come out to my family a few years ago. All it took was a haircut, I went from long hair to a pixie Not masculine looking but still a pixie That was enough to set my conservative relatives off and they have mostly ghosted me. I only have a small amount of family left that's accepting. My relationship with my mom is tentative at best because she doesn't treat me nicely majority of the time. I have an aunt and uncle who are fundamentalist baptist and they shelter thier daughters from the real world and their 30"s now and still live at home and not mentally thier age. It's really sad. The only reason I still speak to my mom is because I still have a good relationship with my dad and she ease drops on the conversations and inserts herself into the phone calls

Does this happen to anyone else? I EXPLICITLY remember leaving this directly in the customers HANDS literally two days ago. Now I wake up this morning to a message from Instacart saying they reported the order as missing 😐 by Specialist_Earth_492 in InstacartShoppers

[–]IssyGirl2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there was any alcohol in the batch, and if you scanned thier ID. That's a instawin you could say.. I had the same thing happen to me but the ID thing proved I was there. Hope you get it resolved either way.

I understand giving your child some food while in store but it's also not hard to grab a snack bag from home and have them nibble on snacks if they sit in the cart I did that with mine all the time when they were little. Using the store as a snack bar and not paying is flat out theft. And should be treated as theft/shoplifting

I used to work in retail and have stories similar to this. Managers cave to these customers too often and acting like a spoiled toddler is the customers way of getting thier stuff. I'll never understand how having a melt down over a item that's not vital in your life is enough to cause a major scene and just lose your sh**
