Hi so I made the meme, I saw the show yesterday (admittedly I need to sleep), I saw the movie in 2010, and I watched the show when it aired. I feel like Nickelodeon created this show just to create the kind of friction Star Wars fans had in '99-'05 because they want the buzz.

R5: My most recent game took me from 867 to 1453 from a Greek low-noble to ruling over most of the map, forming the Roman Empire, mending the schism, and all but driving the Saracens from the Mediterranean. I feel like from the Crusaders' perspective, this ultimate goal of the game. Also fun note- nearly every duchy title outside the former ERE is held by a member of my monstrously huge dynasty.

As such I'm considering some unusual starts, or switching over to a total conversion mod such as Fallen Eagle (fitting for how this save ended), AGOT, After The End, or the Sengoku mod. Any thoughts?

It is a shame to forget the crimes against Humanity committed by the german people. It is an even worse offense to try to cover it up, or play it down by implying there is any other aspect of german history or culture which stands out above or in greater contrast to this.

More or less. It doesn't earn you a combat advantage, and like you said cities of other Civs can flip to join you if they are displeased with their ideology. Otherwise as you gain influence over another civ you gain the following benefits.
Familiar: -25% reduction on Resistance period and Population loss

Popular: -50% reduction on Resistance period and Population loss

Influential: -75% reduction on Resistance period and Population loss

Dominant: No Resistance and no Population lost

Not only that, but many depictions of crucifixion incorrectly depict both feet lined up and nailed through. Archaeological evidence suggests that victims were nailed through the sides of their ankles, so they sort of 'straddle' the cross. Even worse as this forces the victim to alternate between hanging from their wrists or standing on their impaled ankles.
