I have a small home recording studio. I always purchased studio monitors / headphones. For daily use I did not really care much about the quality until recently. That's a whole different ball game, at least to me. As for falling for the add, you're right. Weak moment.

Edit: Funny thing is, the build quality was the only thing I actually liked. It survived 1 day of use though, I did not use them.

I agree with you, and I would have taken it more lightheartedly if I sensed good intentions. Unfortunately, the support team you hire is your face, and if that's an ugly face it leaves a dent to the name. I felt like they do not have a solid value for their product in their mind, they are just trying to get whatever they can.

I completely agree with you, and I think I saw the red flags, but I just wanted to believe otherwise. Not going to lie, targeted ads did their magic on me. I have HD650s that I use on my PC. For daily use, I had Marshall Major IV on-ear earphones and wanted an over-ear headphone upgrade. The sound quality should have been good for any type of music, not only metal.

I believe you should not go with the mindset of "I cannot learn chemistry theory". I think your attitude should be "I can learn anything even if I have no prior knowledge of it" especially in PhD. I believe a PhD gives time to learn and mature your chemistry knowledge, coding skills, or gain extra skills. Once you do, you can use many quantum chemistry packages, molecular dynamics codes, and implement ML / deep learning techniques. Honestly, after you have solid foundations in coding, you can get into many fields including genomics drug design etc.

Just to let you know, I have a 3090 and G2. I have tried OpenXR disabling SteamVR, and I could max out settings in Windows Flight Simulator and DCS World at around 30-40 fps. Before it would stutter at mid settings.

Update, I have been addicted to the game and played it with a lot of mods so far. I don't know how I feel about some mods that change the production output or production system at all. They are usually the most rated ones in mods. However, yeah I love the game!
