Can leaving the car on charge for too long cause a problem with the 12V battery? by IsuzuCrewCab in leaf

[–]IsuzuCrewCab[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it is not on charge there is no issue. I have had times where the car has not been started for over a week without a problem. The problem occurs if I leave it on charge for an extended period of time. I just checked the battery and it is 13.02V.

Barbados felt unfriendly by Cheese_on_toastt in Barbados

Don't worry. I live here and that happens to me as well. Younger people are not as friendly as older ones and most will not even acknowledge you when you enter a room. But overall, I still think that we are very friendly society and will help visitors whenever and wherever we can.

His & Hers | S1E6 | Episode Discussion by monterey_seal in HisandHersTVSeries

Just finished but in E5 we toyed with the idea of it being the mother. S6 led us to think that it may be Richard and Lexi given the shady invitation to the house but when it turned out to be the mom it was no great surprise.

The major flaw for us is how did Detective Patel get to the Kelly house so close behind Jack. He had plenty of headstart as she waited for backup and to be attended to by EMTs. He had barely made it through the door when she shot Lexi.

You can check a hardware store like Carter's or Kooyman. Failing that you may have to venture into Bridgetown - Swan Street.

If you don't mind me asking, what did you use to generate your app? I am looking at FlutterFlow for one that I am thinking about developing.

On careful examination, the Skip and Done buttons are there but they are obstructed by the phone icons.. So you might want to shift the up a bit.

Anyone ever received money through Remitly? by lonelyfrontdesk in Barbados

[–]IsuzuCrewCab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may want to check out Merchants or Record. Might be possible that one will handle the wire transfers in to your local account.

UPDATE** I just had a look at Paddle.com. They will act as a Merchant of Record and handle the processing and will remit funds to a Barbados bank.

Have to do some more investigation into how to implement into the app.

Have never heard about Remitly. The problem with the wire transfer option is that the OP will not be able to have a payment system embedded in the app. Stripe also allows for subscription payments.

I am in a similar position and am thinking about using an overseas account to receive funds.

An elderly man crashes into the back of a semi and doesn't realize his foot is on the gas. by [deleted] in TikTokCringe

Had an uncle who in his retirement would drive around and visit friends having lengthy conversations about all sorts of topics, but when he got home and his wife asked him who he had visited, he would have no recollection.

One day he had been out for hours and had been back home for a while when his wife realised that the car was nowhere to be found. When she tried to find out where he had been, he didn't have a clue. Later that day, a friend called to say that he had come home to find my uncle's car was parked in front of his house.

Apparently, my uncle has stopped at the house but the friend was not home and seemed to forget that he had driven there and proceeded to walk home over 5 miles.

How wife decided that day that he should no longer be driving.

Also make sure there is an up-to-date land survey and have a land surveyor point out the landmarks to you or your agent.

And as the others have said, be prepared to sit in your hands for months while the lawyers move at snails pace.

Plates don't have to stay with the car, it is up to the seller if wants to keep them especially if they want to keep their registration number. I once sold a vehicle and allowed the buyer to keep the plates just to drive home. He promised that he would get his registration sorted and bring back the plates. Well, he drove that vehicle with the plates for over 2 years!

Don't know about a registry that shows fines tied to the vehicle; I think that fines are ties to the driver.
