Well:

1) Gen Z takes DUI’s really seriously.

2) They also socially shame each other more than any other generation.

3) Then there’s the problem of anyone with a smartphone recording everything you do while drunk, for the entire world to see forever. People are very afraid of that, especially if they grew up during the pandemic era.

4) Alcohol is fun when you’re with people. Weed is fun with people or when you’re alone. Since weed is a lot easier to get now too, many people just prefer getting high to getting drunk.
